Review of Junkyard Blues for M-Space

Hey @TheAlkaizer , the writer of M-SPACE here. I would say the game is pretty close to Traveller and Star Wars, with a grittiness that often comes with BRP. But people have used it to simulate The Expanse, Valerian and Laureline and Bladerunner as well. So, it’s quite flexible. The rules are...

Release M-SPACE - New Scenario Out Now

Runeblogger has published a well-balanced (as always) review of Junkyard Blues: " [...] unlike many other sci-fi scenarios, this one seems more inspired by that kind of sci-fi movies one could label as "astronauts in trouble". Movies such as Gravity, The Martian or Stowaway, but with a fair...

Release M-SPACE - New Scenario Out Now

Junkyard Blues has been out for a few days and some first impressions have dropped in. Here’s one from the Murallas Blancas blog: "This is a great adventure that will surely require several sessions of play. It could be a multi-episode mission on a series like Star Trek, as it has that harsh...

PDFs can be surprisingly hard to navigate. You can choose between hit locations and general Hit Points. I usually go for general Hit Points, but then my games are often investigative and quite low on violence.

Strange Aliens and Fantastic Planets Abound in M-SPACE and the M-S Companion

I haven’t used roll20 in a while, so I’m not sure what you refer to. New characters probably have beginner values, but I assume skill percentages are easy to update manually. That’s the main way M-SPACE and Mythras characters improve, after all. Basic characteristics change more slowly, if at...

Strange Aliens and Fantastic Planets Abound in M-SPACE and the M-S Companion

Thanks, I’m happy you like it! Your description "oddly familiar and freakishly alien” is spot on. I wanted to portray a highly recognisable 1920s Earth and inoculate it - in the most natural way possible - with aliens, starships and exoplanet colonies. The Soot turned out to be the perfect...
