  1. The Mirrorball Man

    D&D 5E (2014) Psionics in Tasha

I like 5e. It is an edition themed on story, for Dungeons & Dragons. When you compare it with the average RPG, D&D is still a rule-heavy game, in my opinion.

    D&D 5E (2014) Psionics in Tasha

I'll only be entirely satisfied when attacks and skills are spells.
  3. The Mirrorball Man

    D&D 5E (2014) Psionics in Tasha

There are lots of games that are not about systems, but most of them don't need three big books full of hundreds of pages of rules.
  4. The Mirrorball Man

    D&D 5E (2014) Psionics in Tasha

Alright, but let's be coherent and give spells to Fighters, Rogues and Barbarians, because right now they look like they belong in a completely different game than the all spells, all the time D&D 5e.

    D&D 5E (2014) Psionics in Tasha

I think this was a miscalculation from WotC. They've decided to pick a system that a majority of people don't hate. But psionics are a niche system and they should have picked a system that a strong minority of people love.

    D&D 5E (2014) Psionics in Tasha

No, WOTC only told us that people did not like any of the playtest systems. They didn’t say anything about the nature of psionics.

    D&D 5E (2014) Psionics in Tasha

One could use those systems and see psionics as scientific or mystical in nature, in my opinion, it’s hard to deny. That being said, if you expect D&D to be the Katherine Kurtz game, you’re bond to be disappointed.
  8. The Mirrorball Man

    D&D 5E (2014) Psionics in Tasha

Nonsense. Many systems could support both interpretations. In fact, all psionics systems used in the past could.
  9. The Mirrorball Man

    D&D 5E (2014) Psionics in Tasha

We come up with a system that supports both interpretations. But instead, they went for the spells system.
  10. The Mirrorball Man

    D&D 5E (2014) Psionics in Tasha

Psionics are weird, psionics are different, psionics are powers that Wizards don't quite understand, people who have psionics powers are mutants. You lose all that when you turn them into Sorcerers. Oh well, I'll just use the Mystic.
  11. The Mirrorball Man

    D&D 5E (2014) Psionics in Tasha

Hey cool! New spells. Still waiting for psionics though.

    D&D 5E (2014) 3 Classic Settings Coming To 5E?

Then again, nothing is really obscure among D&D enthusiasts.
  13. The Mirrorball Man

D&D General What do do when a setting doesn't have magic?

That’s nine whole classes you can’t play out of twelve.
  14. The Mirrorball Man

    D&D 5E (2014) The Gnelf Player Race for D&D 5e!!!

I'd really like to read the flavor text.
  15. The Mirrorball Man

D&D General What do do when a setting doesn't have magic?

5e is probably the worst edition of D&D when it comes to low-magic campaigns. I think you'd better pick a different system.
  16. The Mirrorball Man

    D&D 5E (2014) 3 Classic Settings Coming To 5E?

I’m deeply sorry for the misunderstanding.
  17. The Mirrorball Man

    D&D 5E (2014) 3 Classic Settings Coming To 5E?

I don't see the point of bringing back Dragonlance, the setting, but remaking Dragonlance, the series of modules, that would be interesting.
  18. The Mirrorball Man

    D&D 5E (2014) 3 Classic Settings Coming To 5E?

Imagine that. Other people getting stuff you’re not interested in! That being said, if one wanted to start a Greyhawk or a Known World campaign, they could use the old books and start playing right now.
