D&D 4E Ben Riggs' "What the Heck Happened with 4th Edition?" seminar at Gen Con 2023

At what point looking at 5% of the data that doesn't fall within the majority isn't a time sink? Legit question.

D&D 4E Ben Riggs' "What the Heck Happened with 4th Edition?" seminar at Gen Con 2023

Count me in the group that tried it and didn't like it. Still have all my core books and essentials sets though. Still like to Crack them open and read them. Just didn't enjoy playing that particular flavor of D&D.

Adventure Time TTRPG Drops "Yes And" System, Switches To 5E

I really love the lore in Adventure Time. It's surprisingly deep for what initially appeared (to me) as a ordinary cartoon. I need to catch up on the new series. A friend of mine was telling me it expands on the lore.

Adventure Time TTRPG Drops "Yes And" System, Switches To 5E

That's promising. In your opinion do you think a younger audience would latch onto the Yes, And better than the basics of 5e? I'll definitely look into it, admittedly I haven't followed it because it wasn't 5e related. I should take my blinders off.

Adventure Time TTRPG Drops "Yes And" System, Switches To 5E

I'm actually more inclined to take a look at it now. I love Adventure Time, I just don't have the time to learn a new system. I hope both versions do well though.

D&D 5E (2014) Shipping Update for Deck of Many Things

That is a bummer, I missed the announcement of the delay and looked for it at my local book store. I was definitely looking forward to it but with the tighter release schedule we had this quarter my wallet will enjoy the break haha.

WotC Peril in Pinebrook: A new free WotC starter adventure PDF on D&D Beyond

I made this comment in another related thread but I'd like to say it again. I really like the way they did the pre-gens. I kinda wished I had these when I introduced my wife and kids to the game. They got the hang of it now but I feel the pre-gens would have been less jarring/info over load.

D&D 5E (2014) Shipping Update for Deck of Many Things

Yeah I don't think this should be taken as a negative. At least in my opinion it shows WotC is willing to fix issues.

D&D 4E Ben Riggs' "What the Heck Happened with 4th Edition?" seminar at Gen Con 2023

I read an old article recently (I have no idea where I found it, I think I went down a wiki rabbit hole). I read it described as taking inspiration from ToB and SW Saga. Having recently read ToB for the first time not too long ago I can see some of the changes they were after. I will say...

D&D 5E (2014) Shipping Update for Deck of Many Things

A day after my birthday! I know what I'm asking for.

D&D 5E (2014) Wizards Educator Resources page update and free intro teaching adventure among other cool things.

I completely missed this post. Today was the first time I saw the PDF advertised on FB. I wished I would have had the pre-gens when I started my game with the kids and wife. They've wrapped their head around it but I think these would have been less jarring for first time players.

WotC What do Monsters Taste Like. Weird little video from WotC.

WotC just dropped a free introductory adventure PDF on their Facebook page. Monster stats are very very basic as well as the pregen characters. Peril in Pinebrook is the name.

    D&D 3.x 3E/3.5 collecting

Yeah, I remember when the 3.0 FR book came out. I vividly remember standing in the book store looking through it. I have the 2e grey box so I was fairly familiar with FR. I have regretted not buying that book then for a long time. Thankfully I just found a copy in pretty good condition with the...

    D&D 3.x 3E/3.5 collecting

I've been collecting various D&D editions. Recently I decided to start looking at 3.0. I played very little during this era. I feel like I missed out seeing all the material that was released for this edition (3e/3.5). I just bought a first printing of the 3.0 PHB, the book is in great...

A Look at the New Deck of Many Things

Has anyone seen this product out in the wild yet? I know they ran into some issues but curious if it's been released physically yet.

D&D Movie/TV Check Out These Previews Of Hasbro's New D&D 'FAST' Channel

FreeVee seems to be related to Prime. I downloaded the app to my smart TV and once in the app I searched Dungeons and Dragons and the channel pops up there. Faster Purple Worm is a pretty entertaining show. Seth Green was a blast to watch.

D&D Movie/TV Check Out These Previews Of Hasbro's New D&D 'FAST' Channel

I found the channel. Just started watching the live play Encounter Party. I gotta say, I'm kinda liking it. So far. Really looking forward to Faster Purple Worm, Kill Kill Kill. Hopefully this takes off.

D&D 4E Ben Riggs' "What the Heck Happened with 4th Edition?" seminar at Gen Con 2023

I've only ever rolled a 18/00 in BG1...after hitting reroll for 30 mins lol. For real though, I pretty much self taught myself 2e (with help from the starter set audio CD). At first I was pretty strict on rolling in order. Those characters didn't really last long. It was only after researching...
