I have always been fond of Star Frontiers. I still have all of my old material. Would be nice to see an updated version of that.

It sounds interesting. I marked it to remind me. I'll see how things are going in a couple of weeks. One thing that would help sell it at that price point is an introductory adventure. I skimmed the campaign page and comments and didn't see mention of that.. not even in the stretch goals.

I don't know... In 5e it may be preferable to focus on a high dex, a finesse weapon (rapier), and studded leather... Edit: Put an 18 on dex and play an Aarakocra and you start with a 20 dex... giving you an AC of 17 before equiping a shield. Edit 2: And the 20 dex gives you a +7 to hit...

The only downside is... having to wait until September for this. I could have sworn I had a copy of the original, but can't seem to find it :(. I know, I could get a copy from drivethru and a conversion. But, now that Goodman Games is doing a conversion, I'll want to wait for that.

You know... I wasn't familiar with Dyson's work... so I just checked out his site... and I like it. So, thumbs up from me. Though, I do love Schley maps as well.

I just pre-ordered on DnD Beyond... so I could get the character sheet backgrounds. I would buy the content anyway... might as well get the pre-order bonus! I'll probably get the physical book too, 'cause I usually prefer that for general reading.

I fail to see how this is a flaw. Did you play X-Com? Wasteland 2? Turn based combat and both great games... just as examples.

Uh, many people are excited about this fact. If it doesn't appeal to you, then fine... don't play it. My bet is that it'll be highly successful and highly enjoyable for many people.

This has piqued my interest because I have been a subscriber of DnD Beyond for over a year, and this is the first time I remember them sending a pre-announcement like this. I really like the site, but there are a lot of possibilities for extending the feature set.

I use the app to read source material while at work on an iPad... just don't tell my boss.

I would like to see to see things such as Goodman Games Original Adventures Reincarnated series of modules integrated into the site. I don't think that would involve as much work.

I am hoping that something like this or support for 3rd party content.
