You can action surge once per short rest, not just once per day.

Play a paladin, take the Mounted Combatant feat, and use the Find Steed spell to call a Giant Boar. Then convince your GM to make Jump a known spell for you. And don't forget to take proficiency in Perform for your countertenor singing voice. :D

I have to agree with this. It's the skinny legs and tiny feet that annoy me. With more normal feet and legs the larger heads would look proportionate. I'm incredibly glad they did away with 3e's "skinny human hit with a shrink-ray" look though! That seriously hurt my verisimilitude.

Unfortunately true. It's good for Bards to take via Magical Secrets, as it becomes a bard spell and uses Charisma, but fighty bards can't take it until 10th level. It's also good for clerics to take via Magic Initiate. It also synergizes nicely with the Polearm Master feat.

I haven't noticed any ink smudges, but I have at least a couple pages of faded ink.

I'm playing a play test version of an Evoker/Cleric, and we'll probably convert it to the final version of the game soon so that'll probably be the first one I play. I really want to try out an Arcane Trickster or a shadow Monk, so one of those will be the first brand new 5e character I play.

I can verify this. Not three days ago I was in my FLGS smelling 13th Age. :D I don't know if it smells "like RPG books used to smell", but it certainly does twinge some memories for me. At the very least, it smells like Deadlands Reloaded.

Sounds great! How does damage work beyond the usual hit points? That is, what makes guns so deadly? Do hit points go up as characters level up?

Of the ones on the list, Hillfolk, Numenera, and Shadowrun 5e were close runners, and I voted for Hillfolk. But the one game I'm most looking forward to is Exalted 3e.
