    D&D outside the U.S.

I hop between Mauritius and UK. Mauritius you'd have a hard chance finding anything at all RPG related aside from video games, even then is slim pickings. UK on the other hand, as others have said is very easy to get stuff. I still order from amazon though as the only place the sells the books...

    What's Your (Favourite) Role?

My vote goes to the defenders. I am currently playing a large game with ~25 players (with mutliple DMs/encounter areas) that has 4 defenders currently in it. 2 Fighters, 1 Paladin, 1 Warden. They all perform the same sorta role but each of the defenders does it so vastly differently that it can...

    Hospitaler questions

As far as I can tell: 1) Yes it is only things that are 'challenged' will trigger the healing so I assume that it means things that have divine challenge but on them and not a generic mark or divine sanction. In the case of Bradaman's weapon this works as Bradaman's weapon just changes the...

Is it just me, or did Tiamat disappear from Compendium?

Sweet didn't realise she had another source for her stat block. Thanks.

Is it just me, or did Tiamat disappear from Compendium?

Wow, that thread was from 10 months ago, wonder if they will ever introduce her to the compendium then. (Can't they add her heads as 'powers') Annoying as I want to edit her stat block a bit or at least print it out as I don't want to lug my whole chromatic dragons book with me for one enemy.

Is it just me, or did Tiamat disappear from Compendium?

As title says, where did Tiamat go? Bahamut is still in the monster builder and compendium but Tiamat has gone.. *poof*. :erm:

Starblade Furry: Best Monk feat ever?

Well the feat does say 'add a single target', so RAW it does seem to add another target to flurry of blows. If it would just allow you to do your flurry of damage against a creature within 5 wouldn't the wording be something like: 'When you use your Flurry of Blows power, you can choose one of...

    Magic weapon/implement/etc. tax?

Running off a similar idea to Amaroq, why don't you incorporate a ruling for implement casters similar to monks/assassins since they either choose their weapon or their symbol to make their attacks off of. So you can say the druid uses her totem to channel in her primal powers to strike with...

    Magic weapon/implement/etc. tax?

Can't the druid carry around a spear (non-magical) and only upgrade the totem to use for her implement attacks? Also aren't all of the melee touch attacks that druids have implement anyway, stuff like grasping claws used as an AoO? Anyway, as far as I know there are feats like focused expertise...

Vote for your favorite Paragon Path - Part 1: Cleric

Slight necro of thread, but the poll is still open so I'll have my say too :] I haven't played a cleric myself but every game I've been in or DMed there has been a cleric, and miracle worker has been the most useful for us espcially his daily attack power. The players never like big status...

Vote for your favorite Paragon Path - Part 17: Sorcerer

Out of the magic types I love the Storm magic powers and lightning fury makes them all the more fun, so Lightning fury it is for me.

    Return of the DonkeyHorse!

I can see the use of this book for some people but not for the groups I play with. We already have mundane equipment that is just either thought up by the player or the GM as something they can take around that has no bearing on the combat or some occasions out of combat scenarios. Just...

    Why doesn't the Runepriest's At-Will's damag increase?

There's another thread running for this already, should probably go there: http://www.enworld.org/forum/d-d-4th-edition-rules/273548-theres-something-about-runepriests.html
  14. Davachido

    There's something about Runepriests.

Yea but that doesn't change the fact that even runepriest encounters/dailies do 1[W] + mod damage, so if you make the at-wills scale in damage to 2[W] + mod they become better than the encounter/dailies in terms of damage. So it doesn't seem like it's hinky more of just a design choice to be...

    Party AC difference

I think with a set of smart players (Keyword: Smart) the party should do fine with a difference of 4-5 AC. Defenders at the higher end of that and some of the long range strikers can be at the low end. As long as they have ways to escape getting hit or are tactically positioning themselves they...

    There's something about Runepriests.

Isn't it that every single attack ability the runepriest's have 1[W] + mod damage? Also some of the at-wills scale, the one that grants vul 2, goes up to 4 then 6 for example. I'm thinking it was intentional.

    Shifting whilst prone

Actually I quoted the errata for prone and shift rules so, I don't see the problem here. You can even see the full box on the rules I quoted in the following posts :erm:

    Shifting whilst prone

Like I highlighted in my post above, it doesn't explicitly state "You can not shift" in the prone section, it says you may not move. It then proceeds to list the movement type you can do as shown by the exact wording below: Shifting requires you to be able to move 1 square, per the normal...

    Shifting whilst prone

First off in the shifting says: Which means you must be able to move while prone, which you can't as shown by prone: So you can not shift while prone even if you are an elf since you must be able to move normally to do that. On a side note there is one way to shift while prone that I can think...

    Naming Powers

You could always reskin the names of powers when making your character to make them more flavourful to your specific character. Say if you made a duelist rogue using the rapier powers/feats from dragon you could use the fencing terms a lot. Just be sure to keep the actual name handy if your DM...
