I read ebooks exclusively, four or five dozen a year. I tried a couple of Games Workshops books in electronic formats, and they're terrible. Ebooks are great for reading books start to finish but untenable for reference.
I like PDFs though.
I don't think anything happens on Steam. Steam will only take down games if they are active scams for the most part. They'll still take their 30% of revenue (BTW, if that number bothers you, Humble Store only takes a 5% cut and you still get Steam keys).
The problem is with publishing. Some...

Hope the next company makes a D&D game and not a D&D hedge bet.
Can we please just get digital 5e books SOON? I know they don't have the technology that allows pages to fall out of your screen yet, but they can add that in later!
Edit to add: The Edition War was great for D&D. We got a better D&D because a stink was raised. Sorry if your website is where...

I was seriously tempted to pre-order by all the positive "articles" (ads) on various genre websites these last few days. Glad I waited.
I like it. Physical quality of the books needs serious improvement, but the system is the best in decades. Every single previous edition would be improved by adopting rules from 5e.

I run a homebrew campaign, different enough from the Realms that I expect to have to do major reworking... but am I crazy that I think that's fun? I did it with Age of Worms and it was very rewarding.
I just hope it's good, and the situations aren't just side stories for famous Realms NPCs.
Reading his abilities a little closer, he seems to suffer from limited actions. Might be fun to let him use the wand as a bonus action, or in place of a wand attack.
No strong opinion. Have stuff going on with Zugg, Juiblex & Baphomet in my home campaign so I'm buying this for encounters and ideas. I'd rather avoid slapstick humor and silly names, but whimsy fits well with my campaign world.
Says right in the description that it expands however big it needs to be. Seems to be that they intend this thing to be useful. Still, it requires an action and can miss.
Maybe it's even essential during an encounter in the adventure (either for or against PCs).
