D&D 5E (2014) Is there any hope of seeing ToB style maneuvers in 5e?

I don't really want a robust tactical maneuver system though. I just want maneuvers that provide certain martial warriors the ability to make interesting decisions on each of their turns. Oh well, it really seems like people don't understand why having maneuvers would be interesting. 13th age...

    D&D 5E (2014) 5e Homebrew: The Warblade

The Warblade Warblade A warblade is a front-line melee combatant, much like a fighter or barbarian. They engage their enemies toe to toe and defeat them through skill at arms. The Warblade Class Features As a warblade, you gain the following class features. Hit Dice: 1d12 per warblade level...

    The d12 Damage Die

How much is it worth for a weapon user? A talent? A champion feat? Should it just be avoided altogether? What are your thoughts?

    D&D 5E (2014) Replacing Damage-On-A-Miss

Umm...tell that to the entire feat section. You know, the section littered with feats that allow you to take a -5 penalty to your attack to get some other effect. Again, look at feats, spells, and even the basic combat rules. There are many many many abilities that push creatures 5-15 feet, and...

D&D 5E (2014) Is there any hope of seeing ToB style maneuvers in 5e?

Do you think we will ever see martial classes with interesting martial capabilities in 5e? Do you even want in your game? What are your thoughts regarding an optional book that brings more mechanical variety to weapon users?

    D&D 5E (2014) Replacing Damage-On-A-Miss

All fighting styles are currently really boring. I would prefer for fighting style to actually be a style that affects how you play, not merely a passive static bonus that is boring and mostly forgotten. Here are some suggestions for more interesting fighting styles: Sweeping Blow (suggested...

D&D 5E (2014) Now that "damage on a miss" is most likely out of the picture, are you happy?

I think that missed attacks and successfully saved spells should not be able to drop a creature below 1 HP. I also think a nat 1 attack and a nat 20 save should never cause any damage.

D&D 5E (2014) Non choices: must have and wants why someone that hates something must take it

I don't like the great weapon master feat. I don't like how it gives you a minus 5 penalty to attacks. I don't like how it gives you a free action attack on a crit. I don't like how it gives you a free action cleave. I also feel forced to take it anytime I play a weapon user. I like greatsword...

    D&D 5E (2014) Does D&D Next need +2/-2 modifiers?

I actually think next has too many +X modifiers already. I thought the point of advantage was to simplify the game and get rid of all the fiddly numbers from 3e and 4e. We already have conditional bonuses from bards, clerics, wizards, druids, feats, that can all stack and are above and beyond...

    D&D 5E (2014) Called Shots

Well, the fighter can impose disadvantage without taking a penalty to their attack roll. That should be worth something. And any PC may already attempt the "Hinder" action to impose disadvantage on a creature. Perhaps, "called shot" should come from a feat. It would allow you to take a -5...

D&D 5E (2014) Now that "damage on a miss" is most likely out of the picture, are you happy?

I wonder if this means they will get rid of other forms of auto-damage and damage on a miss? Magic missile? Fireball? The level 5 evoker class feature? Inflict Wounds? Blade Barrier? Melf's Acid Arrorw? Feeblemind?

    D&D 5E (2014) Called Shots

Super simple called shot idea: Called Shot (Hinder): When you make an attack, if you do not have disadvantage, you may attempt to make a called shot (hinder) on your target. You suffer disadvantage on your attack, but if you hit your target, your target is suffers disadvantage on the next...
