Renegade Game Studios Takes Over World of Darkness

Did maybe Modiphius send in a 2d20 manuscript for Player's Guide instead of the expected V5 one? :D

The Horror! Call of Cthulhu One Shot One Kill

Unfortunately the Keeper Rulebook and the Investigator Handbook both use the old layout. They are not ugly, but not as clean as the new layout that they use with all the new releases. Also as you mentioned the Investigator Handbook is a strange thing, I don't like it the way it is now. I hope...

RPG Crowdfunding News – The Wagadu Chronicles, Stargate SG-1 RPG, and more

Art is one of the more important aspects for me. And yes, this is really amateurish art. For an IP like this, they have to do much better. This is not some small indie project.

RPG Crowdfunding News – The Wagadu Chronicles, Stargate SG-1 RPG, and more

Yes, the main book is reasonable. For people who that is enough, it's a fine deal. I'm not interested in main books only unfortunately. I don't need new rules or settings, unless they are part of an adventure campaign. And when you look at their adventure campaign, that's not so ideal anymore...

RPG Crowdfunding News – The Wagadu Chronicles, Stargate SG-1 RPG, and more

As AndromedaRPG. Campaign as in adventure. "Early Playtest and give feedback on all upcoming "episodes" of the Stargate SG-1 Living Roleplaying Game Series" Somewhere they mentioned that it will be PDF only and will cost 60$. "In-game reward in the Stargate SG-1 Living RPG Series of being...

RPG Crowdfunding News – The Wagadu Chronicles, Stargate SG-1 RPG, and more

I'm not sure about Stargate. They charge 60$ (if I remember correctly) for the pdf only campaign. And the chapters are released monthly or so. I'm not into public campaign, I would have been only interested if it came with a regular (print) campaign.

GI Joe, Transformers, My Little Pony RPGs Also Confirmed For 2021

I really hope these will come with full campaigns. I have no need for new rules / settings only.

D&D 5E (2014) Previews of Rime of the Frostmaiden

I'm not a fan of how this starts. I like more "solid" hooks. These seem to be optional for the players. Why are they even there? That could already part of the hook. These starting adventures are like the heroes are sitting in a pub and someone is complaining that some iron is missing. Ok? Let's...

    D&D 5E (2014) DM Screen 'Wilderness Kit'

This might only be you. I'm sure 99% of people want art facing the players (creates atmosphere) and most people prefer landscape as it doesn't cover everything (you see the players). Pathfinder gives you the option to get a portrait one, but I would never want one.

    D&D 5E (2014) DM Screen 'Wilderness Kit'

I guess these are similar cards to the ones on the Essentials Kit, so the paper quality is quite bad. But the screen looks good.

RPG Crowdfunding News – Hellboy, Dark Matter, Wondrous Expeditions, and more

It is, but if there was already a campaign setting with the exact same name (from a big publisher) then it's not really to best idea to choose it. I mean, isn't being "original" important anymore?

RPG Crowdfunding News – Hellboy, Dark Matter, Wondrous Expeditions, and more

Same here, I even sent them a message that this is confusing, but it seems like a lot of people did that already but they do not care. Even if I was interested (no adventure campaign, so I'm not), I would refuse to back / buy something with such a name choice.

You Have The Power! New Masters of the Universe RPG!

Ok, I'll guess I'll play this with Savage Worlds or 5E (I'll still get this for the lore and the pictures). This is exactly what I'm NOT looking for in games. That's why I probably don't play narrative games. I played both Fate and 2d20 once and both were really bad experiences (you could argue...

You Have The Power! New Masters of the Universe RPG!

I watched the demo video posted here and I really did not like how the GM had to roll after every player roll. Gameplay must be extremely slow this way.

Level Up (A5E) Level Up: Advanced 5th Edition Is Coming!

what I would like to see in a version like this, is more control of skills. Skillpoints at every level for all classes, and not instead of other bonuses or option that you would get there.

You Have The Power! New Masters of the Universe RPG!

This was one of my favorite movies back then. Had it on a VHS. Watched it a lot.

D&D 5E (2014) Midnight: Legacy of Darkness announced at GenCon Online

This doesn't seem to be a campaign, not even a real adventure. From the review on DTRPG: "Chapter 7 provides general adventure ideas in Erethor for both good or evil parties, and three short encounters taking advantage of the various areas described in the book."

D&D 5E (2014) Midnight: Legacy of Darkness announced at GenCon Online

Were there any adventures / campaigns for the previous editions? Nowadays I only buy RPGs that come with complete campaigns. As far as I know recent FFG RPGs are not like this. They release some adventures later, but not big complete campaigns, don't they?

D&D 5E (2014) Curse of Strahd 'Revamped' Boxed Collector's Edition

I don't agree. You always have to look at the context. If I tell you: "let's leave civilization for a couple of days", I mean let's leave "cities or populated areas" and go into the "wilderness" and not let's become uncivilized. Just because the first sentence in the dictionary if about being...

D&D 5E (2014) Curse of Strahd 'Revamped' Boxed Collector's Edition

Maybe I understand this differently. Civilization is the static thing (villages, towns) and outside of civilization are the wanderers who do not want to stay put. Back then (before the modern times) that was probably a conscious choice, not necessarily a good or a bad thing, just a different...
