The shortest distance between two people is honest communication. Make sure you're telling the DM what you think and why. Don't be rude or aggressive, try to get an open dialog going, but be honest.

EQ was the only MMORPG I've played (and I've played plenty) where I actually felt any sense of accomlishment. You're right, it could be frustrating, stressfull, and very, very unforgiving, but I think that's what made it exhilerating; today's MMORPGs are just too easy for me to enjoy long term...

Honestly, I don't care for reviews that are positive or negative, I'm more of a "Just the facts, mam" kind of guy. When a review is super positive it feels like a marketing pitch, when it is super negative and it feels like a rant. I prefer reviews that give hard data and examples. I'm fine with...

I have 15 players (in 3 different campaigns I run, same world though) and, yes, they're perfect and you can't have them. I will qualify that they are perfect because they are all close friends and nothing beats gaming with friends.

I would be curious how many in-game days would pass if you were to walk (not run) an Everquest character on a tour of just all the surface zones (especially if your character stopped to rest for 6 to 8 hours each day). I think you'd be surprised just how long it would take. At a "quick" count...

The Monster Builder (as it stands) is already better than sliced bread. Once they fix a few bugs and incorporate templates and PC powers it will be better than sliced pizza. I think my favorite aspect is the ability to shave or add levels for monsters in less time than it took me to write this...

I share DMing duties for Thursday night (same group, different campaigns) and I run two other 4e games and play in 1 other as well. That's a log of gaming and I still get disappointed when a game gets canceled. :o The nice part about being such an active DM is that I can put that time to good...
