Spelljammer Spelljammer Confirmed (MAYBE, April Fools?)

Replying to myself; Ash-Space and Elysak are both Hackmaster, non-canon. Leaves 17.

D&D 5E (2014) An Upcoming 5E Classic Setting in a Brand New Format: The Realm of the D&D Cartoon Show (?)

I think it's unlikely (I wouldn't really call it a Classic Setting at all), but sure it's possible. I think the only way to make it work though is if the book is more like "D&D rules, slimmed down to encourage play among younger kids." Setting included.

Spelljammer Spelljammer Confirmed (MAYBE, April Fools?)

If you were to prune these to 17, the obvious ones to remove would be Birthright, Mystara, and Dark Sun's spheres. None of these are developed much and they don't have 5E settings yet, so they are easy to cut. Leaves 16. Design team could stick with these, but some of them are pretty bare-bone...

Spelljammer Spelljammer Confirmed (MAYBE, April Fools?)

Well, this is interesting. There are actually only 19 spheres listed here, some of the articles are actually planets within these spheres. Here are some details on the 19. 1. Aebrynis-Space (Birthright) Aebrynis is considered something of a backwater, and has few sites of interest. Beyond that...

    D&D General Jennell Jaquays Appreciation

Btw, I get Goodman releases things slow and Covid slows stuff down, but any idea when that Dark Tower 5E is releasing?

Spelljammer Spelljammer Confirmed (MAYBE, April Fools?)

Yep. Ironically, D&D and GW pulled essentially the same joke... here's this thing that you probably won't believe, on a day made explicitly for pranking you... but we actually are doing it, but we know you'll doubt it for the above reasons. MWAHAHAHA, I have filled your hearts with doubt!

Spelljammer Spelljammer Confirmed (MAYBE, April Fools?)

Placing this here for folks who forgot it/never saw it. Variant cover for a book teased in the last D&D online event. The Spelljammer book is coming guys, let's not lose our minds.

Spelljammer Spelljammer Confirmed (MAYBE, April Fools?)

The Multiverse UA has got giff, hadozee, and plasmoids. I get nothing is 100% until confirmed, but also... like come on, that combined with the cover with Boo and a beholder on it, plus THIS TEASE... it's as close as you can get to confirmed without actually confirmed.

Spelljammer Spelljammer Confirmed (MAYBE, April Fools?)

I find the comment section can help build communities (much like a forum), but it of course needs moderation, and if GW doesn't want to invest in mods... then yeah, probably for the best. Especially knowing that the worst of GW's customers... are the WORST.

Spelljammer Spelljammer Confirmed (MAYBE, April Fools?)

Except it is on the way, and we all know that... so no, not at all actually?

Spelljammer Spelljammer Confirmed (MAYBE, April Fools?)

If you mean the YouTube video, that's standard GW fair. They typically don't allow comments on any video on YT.

Spelljammer Spelljammer Confirmed (MAYBE, April Fools?)

I won't lie, GW's prank was insane. Just hilarious, whether or not is actually means anything!

Spelljammer Spelljammer Confirmed (MAYBE, April Fools?)

To be clear, this is probably half-joke. There very likely is a Spelljammer book coming this year due to the UA. Will it get announced soon? Maybe not, but I don't think this is entirely trolling, just commenting on a long-running joke.

    D&D 5E (2014) Here's A Look At 3 Adventures from the Radiant Citadel

    Already knew this from piecing it together, but here's the names of the adventures;

D&D 5E (2014) What should an official Indian subcontinent inspired setting have?

On the actual topic however, one could likely use the two pieces from Radiant Citadel to build an Indian-inspired world. First, take the details described in the adventure In the Mists of Manivarsha by Mimi Mondal (Bengal, Gangaridai, Sundarbans, Ratargul, Assam, Purulia, Bagan, Myanmar), and...

D&D 5E (2014) What should an official Indian subcontinent inspired setting have?

I'm more annoyed that people just assume "Oh you speak English, must be American," and then the second assumption is "Oh, then you're British!" English is the most commonly known language, and it's just rude to assume people have a certain nationality, and then default to some talking points...

D&D 5E (2014) What should an official Indian subcontinent inspired setting have?

He's Canadian. Doesn't excuse the ignorance, but let's not just assume people's nationalities to land points?

Mike Mearls and his Gamma World project!

I mean, this is all true, but I'll be honest... any time any product, or potential product, is mentioned, you talk about how it could be a multimedia franchise. And yeah, you can spin any TTRPG into potentially a big success... but I don't think we want every TTRPG product to be focused around...
