    Ring of Invisibility

I don't see anything murky about it. Activation Usually, a ring’s ability is activated by a command word (a standard action that does not provoke attacks of opportunity) or it works continually. Some rings have exceptional activation methods, according to their descriptions. When there is a...

    Ring of Invisibility

It is true that a lot of people play it like that, this is why I started this thread... The way I see it, "as the spell" means what it means... which is that you abide to the spell's descriptions. If there there was something different in respect to the spell they would have mentioned it, as...

    Surprise within a round?

I completely disagree with you... devil's advocate.;) A creature with a movement of 30'.... takes a move action to hide while moving at 25' per move action at -5 and then... takes a move action to hide while moving at 30' per move action.... at -20?????? another -15 for those extra 5'...

Stupid Question: why isnt silence an Assassin spell?

I have a better one. Why isn't Darkvision on his list?

    Death Attack, the BIG threat...

exquisit approach unfortunately... You must spread some Experience Points around before giving it to anest1s again. EDIT: A good reminder of how more important is Cha than Str to an assassin;)

    Death Attack, the BIG threat...

STR? important to an assassin? ...I completely disagree. With weapon finesse, the only thing he's gonna be missing is those couple of hit points on damage. Not important. Rogue-sque characters usually depend on good use of SA to deal sufficient damage, not STR. Dex and Int is what a good...

Running Out of Daily Resources: Good or Bad?

I'd say its EXTRA good. Players should be challenged in every possible way. The way I see it, there is nothing negative about it... whatever forces out the players' ingenuity is a good thing.

Peace and social cooperation in D&D.

You must spread some Experience Points around before giving it to Ettin again. Sorry dude! :)... GREAT post

    Surprise within a round?

I see what you are saying, still IMHO, a big part of being surprised, is that you do not get to "act" during a surprised round, Uncanny dodge or not. Just saying... not an arguing or anything...:)

Correct!!!!! Forgot all about the construct traits even though I highlighted them!!!! (How stupid of me!) Thanx for the reminder!;)

    Surprise within a round?

ok, now I remembered why I treat 30' with a -5. SRD: our Hide check is opposed by the Spot check of anyone who might see you. You can move up to one-half your normal speed and hide at no penalty. When moving at a speed greater than one-half but less than your normal speed, you take a -5...

    Magic against intelligent items

SRD: Damaging Magic Items A magic item doesn’t need to make a saving throw unless it is unattended, it is specifically targeted by the effect, or its wielder rolls a natural 1 on his save. Magic items should always get a saving throw against spells that might deal damage to them— even against...

Does Cleave Work With Improved Trip

Oops! didn't see your post before answering! I agree it is not spelled out in a lawyer-proof way. This is why i agreed it is possible. (because by RAW it is). However I'd also go by RAI and I wouldn't allow it.

Does Cleave Work With Improved Trip

On the other hand, by RAI... one could argue that the "drop" does not refer to falling/dropping "prone", and it only refers to dropping because the damage suffered drops you to an unconscious, dying or dead state... ...and that the "typically" is inserted because of others ways to "drop" a...

Does Cleave Work With Improved Trip

hmmm... now you are making it harder to come to a verdict. Awesome Blow [General, Fighter] Prerequisites Str 25, Power Attack, Improved Bull Rush, size Large or larger.Benefit As a standard action, the creature may choose to subtract 4 from its melee attack roll and deliver an awesome blow. If...
