It states that you take a -20. It has nothing to do with the sniping rule. SRD: Action Usually none. Normally, you make a Hide check as part of movement, so it doesn’t take a separate action. Just read the OFFICIAL Q&A I linked above (2nd link), it will answer you doubts. Believe me if...

Well that's what happens with enlarge person... One could argue that since there is no specific text in Shrink item, the item gets back to normal no matter what. The stronger material/construction wins. If the barrier is wooden and the item made of iron, the item breaks the barrier. If the...

I disagree that you have more elements of the Roman Empire and the Renaissance instead of purely medieval ones. The dark ages and the mediaeval ages, are not so simplistic as one might think. The Capitals and big cities at the time did not lack in complexity or trading plethora. Moreover, the...

DMG II has some interesting stuff.... See pages 57-58 "The chase". I would have copied it but unfortunately my... version... is picture only;)

I agree with what you say for the most part. Just one minor correction regarding this: HIPS is not a move action ONLY. You can use it (just like the Hide skill) with every attack you make, albeit with a -20 on the hide check for every attack...

The Five Famous People you Would Most Like to Play an RPG With

DM: David Lynch (ok... I don't even want to imagine... what the :):):):) will happen...!!!) Player1: Queen Elisabeth I imagine Lynch forcing her into roleplaying some intimate scene like the ones in "Mulholland Drive"... Player2: Iggy pop For hitting ON Queen Elisabeth... and for...

yeah well, you are talking about a 7th level spell that does just that, while shrink item is a 3rd level spell... A lot of interesting uses pop into mind right now...:D Since you can shrink fire, imagine going into the villain's castle, setting up a fire, then shrinking it, and then moving it...

You are correct sir. I acknowledge that i failed to see the obvious. By RAW, speaking a few words in a round is a free action indeed. .....Now, something VERY interesting is this: Shrink Item Transmutation Level: Sor/Wiz 3 Components: V, S Casting Time: 1 standard action Range: Touch Target...

Since when is an unspecified action a free action? I might be wrong, I'm just asking... EDIT: Forgive me, since when is a command word a free action?

Yep...I'm kinda feeling that this is the major drawback... hmm well. IMO wizard's spells are better that the assassin's (up to 4th lvl that is). Moreover, the wizards spell list is bigger. No offense, honestly, but this is an argument i could never understand... and it is one used by...

Why shouldN'T it be view as a (D) action? (all transmutations behave that way, read above) Why shouldN'T it be view as a command word? I don't see any difference. Mind you, both (D) & Command word are the same exact action: A standard action that does not provoke AoO.

I think the question is the other way around. Why shouldN'T it be?

He does. But you get evasion from the rogue anyway. Even more Evasion does not stuck to make for improved evasion. This only happens with uncanny dodge.

D&D - Mediaval Social, Political & Economical Structure.

Often, we break our heads over how economy works in the game... How much money a commoner makes... How much money a landowner makes ...and how does this all work? Economically? Politically? Socially? Before digging into the rule books for explanations (that we won't find), I think it's better...

IMO, in order to understand the medieval economy, first one needs to understand the political and social structure of mediaeval times. Hope this helps!:)
