  4. The Grinning Frog

    RPG magazine question

Thanks very much. Maybe the reason we don't have more of the magazines is that in reality people don't want more of the magazines. Still, I have a core group of people who buy it and a group who float in and out from issue to issue so whilst that happens, I'll keep going.
  5. The Grinning Frog

    RPG magazine question

I had vaguely heard of that, I thought it was a comic/funny book publication. And on issue 306? Well, that's amazing quite honestly. I will track down a copy.

D&D 4E Ben Riggs' "What the Heck Happened with 4th Edition?" seminar at Gen Con 2023

As someone who loves 4e to the centre of his dark little heart this is very interesting. It also sadly highlights on of the issues with the whole RPG space which is that people really need to chill a bit. So magic missile can miss... okay, fine, whatever. Either change it for your table or...

Unique British aspects of D&D in the UK?

Brilliant. Could be done without taking turns but rather the first person to call the pub gets the points. Tally up at the end of the journey.

Unique British aspects of D&D in the UK?

My aforementioned wife is from Seattle and having been there I concur about your incredible scenery. I don't think she's run into any of those roundabouts on her visits back but I will be sure to tell her they now exist there!

Unique British aspects of D&D in the UK?

Yes it is, I forgot that. Not being a pub goer myself this has always been endlessly unhelpful!

Here's what it is really like being an independent publisher

Just outside of York but who am I to turn down a lunch offer? How about the next time I'm down your way I drop you a note? Have car will travel and all that.

Here's what it is really like being an independent publisher

Hey folks, So, it's 1.06am as I type this. And I guess I should introduce myself - my name is Stephen Hart. I run The Grinning Frog, we are an ambitious, young and small independent RPG and game publisher in the UK. We have a reputation for putting out quite a lot of products to say we are a...

Unique British aspects of D&D in the UK?

Funny how a name looks strange/amusing when you are not used to it. Traffic circles? Rotaries? Fabulous names. Funny to me but then 'roundabouts' likely seems strange to others. I do love language.

D&D General Changing your Rest paradigm is the single biggest, yet smallest, change you can make

I have always made it a requirement that a location is 'safe' before long rest benefits but I hadn't thought of involving the survival skill. I like that a lot. Nice one.
