My computer is an old piece of crap with faulty cpu so I am not online that often, so I only read this now. If they don't split up like my first group did (in 3 pairs of 2, ugh) they should do fine if they are appropriate level for the encounter. Let us know if anyone dies :-)

How big is your party? How likely are they to split up during the encounter? They don't always need to use the best strategy. Ivoretti in particular is an arrogant bastard and probably still likely to underestimate his opponents. I can imagine he also might panic if he notices he misinterpreted...

People love the AP-style from Paizo so why the worry about WotC? I mainly worry I will not be able to use the new adventures at all because they tie in too much to the 4e-Faerun, which I will not ever be using.

Played and finished several, this one is on the list of one of my two long lasting main groups to finish. We just haven't bought it yet. In my self-made worlds, I have very few "dungeons" either, at best you get a few rooms under a castle or a cave complex.

I've been using 4d6 drop lowest as default for many years. Only once, in a recently started forum game, did it happen that a player's rolls were totally hopeless 3 times in a row. We were joking he should play a farmer... Recently, some groups I follow have taken to using the 5d6 drop 2 lowest...

Well, I want my material in PDF most of the time including the rule books for online play. So, adventures and supplements need to come in a usable electronic form. I neither want to bother with some great new app nor pay some subscription for wanting just a few things. So if 5e is going that way...
