Yeah. He basically said the next time we see the Artificer it will be in a publication. And then he made reference to a potential upcoming Eberron release. That's about it.
He also said that we will probably see a more comprehensive version of the 'sidekick' rules appearing in a publication...
In case anyone was still worried about it, Crawford confirmed that they still plan to add the Artificer to Wayfinders:

It seems like Keith is very much in the loop with WotC. Crawford even mentioned going over Artificer subclasses with him when he was working on that UA. My thinking is that Keith is likely involved enough to just have his company producing material that WotC is unlikely to cover officially--...

Doesn't really feel like the right venue for an Eberron announcement. And it's really Luke Gygax's thing, so I kind of doubt it.
Once upon a time, I would have assumed they were saving it for a Gen Con announcement, but obviously they've moved away from Gen Con being an important date in recent...

Oh, for sure. It's complicated (like many aspects of Hindu lore). But, on average, asuras tend to be adversaries and serve as the 'bad guys' more often than not. Anyway, I don't have any problem with the use in D&D. I had just missed it.
AD
Not that I'm aware of. They offer it on their Android and iOS apps. But the format is basically the same except that you can swipe through pages with your finger. Maybe someone else knows a trick for saving the whole thing as a pdf. But it's not obvious to me.

Thank you. Wow, I had missed that entirely in my many, many years of playing D&D. But I suppose if D&D took devas, it was only natural they'd use asuras as well.

So, comicbook.com reached out to Jeremy, who further clarified:

Interesting. Which image? And when you say 'asura' are you specifically referring to the Hindu adversaries of the Devas (and often sort of demonic in temperament). Or is there another popular context I'm not aware of?
Adrian
You know, I think Jeremy may have referred very peripherally to other classes in one of those Dragon+ twitch shows awhile back. But I couldn't tell you which one. And it's probably not enough substance to bother seeking it out. Other people have mentioned the Sorcerer as a possibility.

Jeremey Crawford spent a little time on twitter dispelling the notion that there would be a completely revised class. And I quote:
"He was referring to the alternative class features we're exploring for various classes, including the ranger. These would be optional rules, not a redesign of a...
I'm guessing they'll stick with their 'alternate class features' route to keep compatibility. From the transcript:
Mearls: "maybe play-testing this summer some new options that complement what’s there without overriding it. One of the hard things about working in tabletop is you can’t patch a...

Some fun content. Digital maps for Saltmarsh are provided.

Perhaps. But it also sounded like the 'turret' for the Artillerist might get re-worked to be something that could be wielded. Which sounds a lot less pet-like.
