Frank Mentzer, Tim Kask, Jim Ward and Chistopher Clarke form Eldritch Enterprises

Hey Frank! All well here, but very snowy. B-) Enjoying your Lich Dungeon very much. I like how the dungeon in some ways is very old school, but at the same time shows how it has been in development over all these decades. The optional references to Aquaria also caught my interest. :cool...

"City of the Gods" by Arneson & Ritchie (TSR DA3)

Both Temple of the Frog and City of the Gods are available in 3E versions. While the essence of the two versions of each module are the same, there are many differences in scope and detail. +1 That is an excellent read :) -Havard

    Stupid Monsters Part 3

Am I the only one who thinks these articles are less than funny and offer cheap shots at things that were created for comical effect decades earlier? -Havard

"City of the Gods" by Arneson & Ritchie (TSR DA3)

If you have the chance, I second Deuce's recommendation of running DA1 and 2 before City of the Gods. OTOH, City of the Gods can be ran by itself as well. All of the DA modules begin with a sequence explaining how the PCs travel through time from the Known World and back to the Blackmoor Era...

    WotC "Named After a Campaign"

I think it was a Forgotte Realms (Sword Coast?) campaign, possibly DMed by Peter Adkinson (the founder of WotC). I'd love to hear more about the campaign though, if anyone has details... -Havard

    Thoughts on Masterbook/Shatterzone?

While there are parts of this system that are clunky (some of them I just ignore), there are other parts like the Card Mechanics, the Life Points, and the Exploding Dice that just make this game such great fun it is hard to compare. In most respects, TORG was probably superior to the SZ/MB...

Shatterzone: Next supplement you'd like to see...

So cool that you are releasing more SZ stuff! I have most of these books already, but I think Grimsyn Sector could be interesting to get a model for their campaigns. Have you thought about producing new cover art for some of these books? :) -Havard

    Iron Kindoms RPG info [updated]

Very cool. I love the IK setting. I also like stealing stuff from it for my Blackmoor campaigns, given the shared tech/fantasy angle. -Havard

What's your favorite edition of D&D (so far)?

BECMI. Could handle characters from 1st to 36th level. And had rules for handling the PCs when they tranceded mortality. Simple at the core, yet with enough add ons to get the complexity level to suit any taste. Few and broad classes Quick character generation Short prep time Fast Combat -Havard

Which D&D worlds have Sci Fi Space Ships?

I think they all probably do. Jorune is a planet dicovered by humans from earth in the far future. Both other settings have a past history as high technological civilizations. Thanks for reminding me of them! :) -Havard

Which D&D worlds have Sci Fi Space Ships?

I recently learned that Pathfinder's Golarion has a crashed space ship, as an homage to Expedition of Barrier Peak, which in turn probably was inspired by the City of the Gods from Dave Arneson's Blackmoor Campaign. In addition to those there is Mystara (linked to Blackmoor) and also the...
