    D&D 4E Zanzer Tem, Nostalgia, and 4e

Zanzer Tem! Sweet awesomeness! I dont have much to offer in terms of 4E conversion, but if you are looking to expand into the world beyond the dungeon and into the mini-setting it is connectd to, Thunder Rift, I have written alot of material for it here. -Havard

What WotC hasnt done yet: Old Settings

Its difficult to say. I dont think the sales of settings should be seen in isolation. Once you have a setting you like, you will buy more generic books to use with that setting. Generic books have the advantage of appealing across the board, but not everyone want to use their Generic books with...

Do "old school" RPGers have an advantage?

Being experienced is an advantage, but there's an additional advantage to being experienced with multiple editions and systems. Younger gamers bring alot of energy and new ideas though and they have a less hard time to find people to play with. -Havard

What WotC hasnt done yet: Old Settings

I'm the exact same way. Settings have much more of an appeal to me than any other product. Originally I would collect one or two, but lately I have been trying to get at least the core books for all of the D&D settings from TSR/WotC and the best ones from 3rd party publishers. I think WotC was...

What WotC hasnt done yet: Old Settings

The point here isnt really what one or two of us would like to see, but what would be a good idea for WotC. A DDI article in that respect would be almost useless. The point of producing a book covering one or two old campaign settings would be to reach out to those parts of the D&D fan base...

    Make a Better Living Campaign

Great thread idea! I was always fascinated with the old TORG Infiniverse concept where gaming groups would report the results of their adventures to WEG and the campaign setting would change according to the results from these reports. This should be much easier in the age of the Internet. Back...

Divided gaming group - looking for help.

How about playing BOTH games? If you dont have the time to run two parallell campaigns, then maybe first run a short campaign with the one game and then another short campaign with the other? -Havard

The Fall of Minas Tirith/Constantinople -- The Soundtrack

Cool list. I love using Movie Soundtracks for my gaming sessions, but I like that you also included some music with vocals like Metallica & Ramstein. -Havard

What WotC hasnt done yet: Old Settings

Exactly. And if there isnt enough profit in it for even a single book, how about throwing two settings into the one book? While Dragonlance and Ravenloft could get their own books, you could do something like: REALMS OF CLASSIC FANTASY Greyhawk, Mystara and Birthright REALMS OF PULP FANTASY...

What WotC hasnt done yet: Old Settings

One of the reasons I got into 3E/D20: Dragonlance, Ravenloft, Dark Sun, Blackmoor and Greyhawk were all supported. Even classic favorites like Mystara and the Hollow World got several articles in the Paizo magazines. While WotC has been rehashing alot of old concepts, they have stayed away...

    Living Campaigns

Wow I had no idea there were so many! Also, wasnt there a Living Kalamar? Living Jungle is Malatra (Realms, yeah). Jakandor is a different setting (Part of the AD&D Odyssey Line), but didnt have Living Campaign AFAIK. -Havard

    Living Campaigns

I guess Living Greyhawk is the most famous one. 4E has Living Forgotten Realms. Dave Arneson's Blackmoor had the MMRPG (modules still available). Which other settings has/had Living Campaigns? -Havard

    Eladrin, why?

Thanks for the feedback everyone! :) I actually thought this was a design feature rather than a flaw in 3E. The fact that the ability score modifiers suggested a rogue/Ranger type and the favored class was Wizard meant that the Elf would indeed do well with either option, just as intended...

    New Blackmoor Races

Below are some racial writeups that I have made for Blackmoor: Hawkriders Ursai - The Bearfolk (Under construction) Kurgans Valemen -Havard

    Eladrin, why?

I like the idea of a teleporting race, but why do they have to look and feel almost exactly like elves? Other than the game mechanical features this race seems really unnecessary. What have I missed? -Havard

    D&D 5E (2014) A 5e BECMI?

BECMI is a good place for WotC to look for ideas. Both the customizable level of complexity and the really wide scope (Dungeon Crawls, Wilderness Exploration, Dominion Management, Planar Exploration, Making Magic Items, Epic Quests, Goodhood/Immortality.) still makes that a unique gem in the...
