The point here isnt really what one or two of us would like to see, but what would be a good idea for WotC. A DDI article in that respect would be almost useless. The point of producing a book covering one or two old campaign settings would be to reach out to those parts of the D&D fan base...

Great thread idea! I was always fascinated with the old TORG Infiniverse concept where gaming groups would report the results of their adventures to WEG and the campaign setting would change according to the results from these reports. This should be much easier in the age of the Internet. Back...

How about playing BOTH games? If you dont have the time to run two parallell campaigns, then maybe first run a short campaign with the one game and then another short campaign with the other? -Havard

Exactly. And if there isnt enough profit in it for even a single book, how about throwing two settings into the one book? While Dragonlance and Ravenloft could get their own books, you could do something like: REALMS OF CLASSIC FANTASY Greyhawk, Mystara and Birthright REALMS OF PULP FANTASY...

Wow I had no idea there were so many! Also, wasnt there a Living Kalamar? Living Jungle is Malatra (Realms, yeah). Jakandor is a different setting (Part of the AD&D Odyssey Line), but didnt have Living Campaign AFAIK. -Havard

I guess Living Greyhawk is the most famous one. 4E has Living Forgotten Realms. Dave Arneson's Blackmoor had the MMRPG (modules still available). Which other settings has/had Living Campaigns? -Havard

Thanks for the feedback everyone! :) I actually thought this was a design feature rather than a flaw in 3E. The fact that the ability score modifiers suggested a rogue/Ranger type and the favored class was Wizard meant that the Elf would indeed do well with either option, just as intended...
