Steamforged Games Apologizes & Reprints Dark Souls Books

Every game gets typos and errata. What every game company needs to do is apologize ahead of time and have a repository for errata that gets instituted in the print version updates. It's almost like there should be a Book and a mandatory errata. I personally don't give a otyugh's anus about...

    What's your favorite dice system?

We really, really reallyenjoyed Warhammer Fantasy Rolepllay 3e. The stance dice were very popular. The entire system with Special actions made it fantastic. Didn't care for the SW dice change. Felt too sterile and petty.

Non-occult missions in a time of revolution

When you say you fixed the weapons, what was your issue with them? Too powerful? Too accurate?

Non-occult missions in a time of revolution

BTW, all those random charts (sans the new skills for FoF) are from my Colonial Gothic Character Generator tabs: https://www.dropbox.com/s/sx5igyx5cnhy4hq/3.1.8%20Colonial%20Gothic%203e%20Random%20Character%20Generator.xlsx?dl=0 Random missions can be generated on my TOP SECRET/N.W.O...

Non-occult missions in a time of revolution

I'd recommend gaining inspiration from the 1e TOP SECRET missions list and adapt to Flames of Freedom /Colonial Gothic. For additional ideas, randomly roll a few skills and careers/professions/THREATS and improvise ideas. Lastly, pick an actual event or personage or two from the era you are...

Know any good "random complication" tables for SF games?

I made a random ship problem generator that outputs to look like the ALIEN universe green screen. I used a list of actual ship parts from NASA as well as other hard and soft science parts. There is an option for feedback from roughnecks...

Lack of Evolution in Pre-Made Adventure Presentation

The evolutions tried with cd rom stuff: MARK OF AMBER, ET AL were not well received. VTT maps and handouts are where we are currently at. I've written a lot of fully published non commercial (and some commercial adventures when I need $50), organized writers for fanzines and followed the...

What is your earliest and most impressionable childhood memory of reading the original D&D or other games

Sean K Reynolds on working at Paizo (and other companies)

Isnt a huge part of the problem that there are literally hundreds of rpg 'writers' lined up to take Sean's job for less money? [All other perceived management issues aside]
