Abrupt Jaunt helps. Summoning is preferred at low levels, and creep up behind the summons with an Illusionist to color spray the enemies.

I suggested the Oriental Adventures stuff in the other thread about this. Also, not just Artificer, but most of the Eberron setting will have stuff that you're likely looking for.

I assume my players aren't listening/looking for something if they don't explicitly say so. If you're on an adventure, and you're being serious about it, you'd better be on danger mode when you're in the dungeon/wilderness, so I expect the player's attitude to reflect this alertness.

Int is a little vague, as it depends on how you determine it. A lot of people do it as somewhat like I.Q./10. Wis is also vague, as it includes not just judgement, but perceptiveness. Dex might be high when younger, while Str is lowered. Con should also be a bit low, then go up. Cha might start...

I think you mean "based on their charisma score" for extra manifesting points. It's not a linear pattern, generally speaking.
