    D&D 5E (2014) Official Adventures starting at level 5?

If your group is based in Waterdeep, there's always Dungeon of the Mad Mage, an adventure that kicks off at 5th level. While there is some level of intrigue and politicking in DotMM, that one's mostly a dungeon crawl, so dunno how your group feels about that. Another idea might be to take the...

    D&D 5E (2014) Enhancing "Baldur's Gate: Descent into Avernus"

When I get the chance to DM this excellent adventure (hopefully not if I get the chance this time), when the PCs enter into Avernus I intend to have them arrive on a great plain with a huge iron-gate in the distance. They are not within Hell as yet, merely on the Welcome Mat of Hell. They...

D&D 5E (2014) The new sidekick rules are great not just for 1-on-1 games

Yeah, that's definitely true. Though I feel, that if a player is up for it, they could also roleplay as the sidekick. This may work better if the PCs play each others' sidekicks.

D&D 5E (2014) The new sidekick rules are great not just for 1-on-1 games

As someone who has unfortunately fallen out of gaming for a while now (I used to play quite regularly with a circle of four close friends), which has as much to do with our hectic lifestyles and jobs, and clashing schedules, the new sidekick rules give me quite a bit of hope. Namely they seem...

    D&D 5E (2014) amazon.co.uk Descent in Avernus order "Estimated arrival date: October 12 2019 - October 14 2019"

Funny how in good ole Australia we're still expecting Descent into Avernus from the 17th of Sept. Even from the US; I appreciate that Amazon US is selling this book for $56.66 :D

    D&D 5E (2014) What's to Like about Eberron?

I feel it also asks interesting questions about what it means to have purpose in life, and what it means to be an individual, especially in the cases of the warforged. It asks also interesting questions about identity, whether this is cultural or individualistic or something forged by something...

D&D 5E (2014) New Cover for Eberron: Rising from the Last War

Further in the video they give a side-by-side comparison of what is expected in Rising from the Last War and Wayfinder's Guide, which is excellent. Personally, I'm really looking foward to the group patrons, the adventure seeds and maps, the Forgotten Relics adventure and the 38 monsters/NPCs.

    D&D 5E (2014) What's to Like about Eberron?

I heartily agree with everyone's excellent points! For me also, I really like that Eberron is morally grey and even evil has its place in society, within reason. I really appreciate that in Eberron, nothing is presented as objectively good or evil - each nation, culture, race, religion is...

D&D 5E (2014) What type of D&D sourcebooks do you miss from older editions?

Yeah, you could take a page from Beadle and Grimm's book, and make and market something their way.

D&D 5E (2014) What type of D&D sourcebooks do you miss from older editions?

I really am a fan of boxed sets. Despite the possible financial impracticality of it all, I'd really like to see their come-back. Lands of Intrigue, and the Planescape Boxed Sets are some of my favourite things of all time, and they remain treasured possessions. I'd want another Lands of...

D&D 5E (2014) Rival adventurers - should they be built like monsters or PCs?

You could definitely take the ideals, bonds, flaws, personality bit from PC creation. But however you want to build the rival parties depends on what you'd like to do with them, and how time strapped you are IMO. If you expect these rival parties to be a stick in the craw of the PCs, and expect...

D&D 5E (2014) Baldur’s Gate: The Descent in the wild!

That we do, but I feel like this is a potential spoiler :P Possibly so DMs wouldn't need to keep flipping back and forth between that section of the adventure and the bestiary at the back. It's good that Wizards is trying something different, and making the lives of DMs running the adventure...

D&D 3.x Rate the 3E Eberron Books Best for 5E Use

Will you be delving into any particular regions of Eberron, or remaining on Khorvaire? I've a special place in my heart for City of Stormreach and Secrets of Xendrik, which I think you can relatively painlessly adapt Tomb of Annihilation into Eberron, a lot of those books are about lore...

    D&D 5E (2014) Failed House Rules

We had a death rule, where instead of dropping to 0 hp on death and then rolling death saves thereafter and being taken out of the fight, we instead rolled a straight up Con mod then and there to see if we would drop to 0. If we succeeded against the DC, we would instead remain at our current...
