RPG Crowdfunding News – World of Battlezoo, Trinity Continuum, Garbage & Glory, and more

Garbage & Glory looks amazing. Trash pandas for the win. Wind Wraith looks like a winner as well.

Dungeons & Dragons Fifth Edition gets a pop-up book. Coriolis gets the last adventure in a trilogy and this time it’s war. Trophy Dark is back in print and Power Rangers RPG gets an adventure. An RPG of heavy metal awesome drops in which an Amplord can do battle with a Ragnasaurs Rex (please...

RPG Print News – Mongoose, Cubicle 7, Evil Genius, and More

    1) This whole conversation started because I can find very few games stores with the new Marvel RPG. Turns out Marvel is not marketing to those game stores from what I can find. Since I cover RPGs at game stores then Marvel is not marketing to me either. It isn't really complicated. 2) I do not...

RPG Print News – Mongoose, Cubicle 7, Evil Genius, and More

Okay. If that is the case, then it won't be covered here unless it goes into games stores. The local RPG scene needs support. I did find this online, saying it is being sold as a book (except also on digital RPG sites it seems), which supports what you are reporting:

RPG Print News – Mongoose, Cubicle 7, Evil Genius, and More

I think you read very different posts than I did. As to point 1), I did not jump to conclusions. As you quoted from Enevhar Aldarion: "Marvel is distributing it through the comic book channels, not the gaming book channels...". And 2), Edit: I'm not sure that game stores can easily get it as it...

RPG Print News – Mongoose, Cubicle 7, Evil Genius, and More

That statement is not actually something I completely understand. I assume "us" in your quote above means stores and not posters. Therefore my response is based on that interpretation. Are you saying if a comic store also sells TTRPGs you are okay with Marvel cutting out stores (if that is...

RPG Print News – Mongoose, Cubicle 7, Evil Genius, and More

That doesn't fit with this column then. And not offering a new RPG through game stores is not something I would support if that is the case.

I don't actually agree with your premise, and it took a while for me to even find it at a hobby store. Atomic Empire has a copy: Marvel Multiverse RPG. I do want a d616 to roll however.

RPG Print News – Mongoose, Cubicle 7, Evil Genius, and More

Dungeons & Dragons Fifth Edition gets adventures, a new setting, and giant gorillas and robots. Traveller gets new tools, Warhammer Fantasy gets another city, and Shiver debuts a 10-part story to play through. Note: RPG Print News covers new RPG releases and some classics, reprints, and sales...

RPG Crowdfunding News – Nightmare Over Ragged Hollow, The Straight Way Lost, Slash!, and more

I should clarify that I don't mind buying dice if reasonably priced. But I have one player who won't buy anything beyond the normal six dice used in most RPGs. It's just one more hurdle to me trying to get a new RPG running.

RPG Crowdfunding News – Nightmare Over Ragged Hollow, The Straight Way Lost, Slash!, and more

Nightmare Over Ragged Hollow and Octhorrorfest Special Edition for Old-School Essentials? Good stuff. I like both new adventures and new rules. Slash! sounds interesting but I'm not really fond of proprietary six-sided dice.

RPG Print News – Free League, SoulMuppet, and More

Free League has yet another fantasy RPG available and SoulMuppet has two more new RPGs. Power Rangers RPG goes into space and Mothership, which is already in space, gets a music zine. Shadowrun gets Runner advice. Dungeons & Dragons Fifth Edition gets adventures, a new setting, and spell cards...

That happens. If you can support a FLGS I like that better actually. Noble Knight is simply my Favorite Online Game Store. Noble Knight has a physical store too, but few of us would find it Local.:)

RPG Print News – SoulMuppet, Exalted Funeral, and More

Here is a closer view of the map (and each panel is a page in the book so you don't have to get the map separately but not sure why you wouldn't want it). If the PCs start out in Violet City they have everything north to draw on to create characters. After any urban shenanigans they engage in...

RPG Print News – SoulMuppet, Exalted Funeral, and More

Good questions. The default journey is from the cities at the top to the Black City at the bottom. The map depicts various roads that head that way. The areas outside the map are extremely dangerous. If the PCs go there I'd likely pull out some Gamma World creatures and ruins. The default...

I like the idea of running it with Troika although it seems to have a serviceable system. I put the pen next to the map for scale:
