Star Wars games in the wake of RotS

Naah ... I don't freak out over spoilers, and I don't think you made any anyway. Besides, anyone who knows anything about Star Wars knows what the BIG events in the movie will be, so its kinda hard to spoil those. It's how it all comes to be that comprises spoilers for this movie. You're ok. :)...

Star Wars games in the wake of RotS

True ... I'll be more prepared for a inter-trilogy game once I see the movie.

Star Wars games in the wake of RotS

Yup ... and whenver I tried to run a Rebellion-era game in d6 I always had to contend with the sigh and eyeroll when I told someone they couldn't be a Jedi. lol Running a game between the trilogies lets your must-be-a-Jedi players have their fun while at the same time giving you, the GM, lots of...

Star Wars games in the wake of RotS

The more I think about this and the more I read this thread, the more I think that the best era for me in which to run a game is *between* the trilogies rather than before the first or after the second. Players can still be Jedi if they want, but they also take the class with the knowledge that...

Star Wars games in the wake of RotS

I'm jonesing for some StarWars gaming, too. I think if I were to run SWd20, I'd set my campaign before all the movies. That era is pretty much a blank slate. The pre-Empire, Empire, and post-Empire eras have been greatly explored in movies, novels, games, comics, cartoons, etc. An Old Republic...

    Skeletal Request

    That I don't know. I don't have LM. sorry!

    Skeletal Request

Depends on how much damage they do. I'd say something as small as finger bones would do 1d4 each -- about the damage of a hand crossbow. Finger Bones: As an attack action, a skeleton sharpshooter can launch its fingerbones at an opponent. This is a ranged touch attack that deals 1d4 points of...

Why not just use a skeleton and give it that special attack?

More Conversion Stuff: D&D => Star Wars d20

I finally figured out how to handle gnomes (Nohms ;)) and their spell-like abilities. I couldn't figure out how to give the "Nohm" the prestidigitation spell, since some of the spell effects were a little *too* supernatural even for the Star Wars universe. In light of that, I just dropped the...

Revenge of March (and then some...) Monster Movie Madness! Poll

I voted for the Talking Donkey and Ludo ... I didn't vote for my Whos because I felt that wouldn't be fair. :)

    Does anyone have a clue...

A monk/psion multiclass wouldn't make a half bad Jedi stand-in for D&D. You get the martial abilities of the monk and the mental abilities of a psion. The lawful-only alignment restriction of the monk would play well as the "Jedi code", too. I don't have my PHB handy and haven't run enough...

    Does anyone have a clue...

You could have a "jedi-like" character by using the psyshic warrior style psionic classes and giving the character a blazing energy weapon (see special weapon properties in the DMG). I think the Star Wars races could be used in D&D without difficulty. After all, things liike low-light vision...

[M&M] New Orleans / Bayou villains needed for Monday night game

A houngan is a "good" voodoo priest, as opposed to a boucorps or bokor, whic are the "bad" guys. Of course, "good" and "bad" are relative terms in voodoo. A loa is a voodoo "god". The voodoo gods are actually west African deities clad in the trappings Catholic saints. Caribbean-area slaves...

[M&M] New Orleans / Bayou villains needed for Monday night game

How about some Mardi-Gras themed villains? Rex ... Mind Control, etc. Flambeau ... fire powers, obviously Bead ... female mutant, can generate small bead-like projectiles and shoot them with great force and accuracy Masque ... shape changing powers ... you get the idea. :)

    D20 Future Star Frontiers?

How about giving a flat +1 or +2 to damage per power point expended? It still lets you vary the damage without being so overpowering as adding full dice of damage. Perhaps you could even just say that a 5 power point expence lets you decrease the critical threat range by 1. If players complain...

Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind d20 Ideas

The 4-book series is called the "perfect collection," but the 4-book and the 7-book series have the same story. The 7-book series is just broken into smaller books. As for the forest, Nausicaa and Asbel were in a hollowed out section beneath the forest. It doesn't collapse right away because...
