Actually, I think we are in agreement, you just took my passing comment and parsed it. My point was that it's not advice, it's comments heard that then translate to someone 'thinking' they heard it as advice. But either way, we both agree. it's not good.

They had been sold to another compamy but were reverting to sole ownership. Or so I had been lead to believe.

In the states part of that is NBC trying to relegate everything to thier other channels and their streaming service. No idea about coverage outside of the lower 48 + 6.

Same thing happened in the d20 era of 3.X. The inustry survived and thrived and it's going to again. Niche systems will always be there and they will always play send fiddle to whatever version of D&D is currently available. The only systems to ever give then a run was the White Wolf worlds...

Kind of, yeah. I mean there have been some really cool moments, but overall participation (nations) is down and the political pissing match the Xi has been putting on is... off putting.

Pro-tip. Don't forget to check the grocery store spice isle for clearance spices. They are usually cheaper than hobby grass/terrain and are just as pretty. Bonus they make your terrain smell nice. I use an out of date bottle of Mrs. Dash for painted desert terrain. Works like a dream.

looks really good. As a suggestion when you decide to weather the edges with a dry brush, for wood, use the same base color as your top coat thinned with a small amount of yellow and then go ohhhhh so light. You'll be amazed at the results.

Ah the good old days of inches vice feet. Measuring strings were a thing of beauty from the old wargaming days. Zeroing your string before each session so you weren't cheating. Ah good times.

I hated Planescape, but that was mostly because I still used the old 1e designations. (type I, etc. and the Satanic panic by damned. heh) More over it wasn't really my cup o tea. But it WAS well written. I just prefered my evil more ... evil.

If you've never done so, I suggest reading the 'Myth Adventures' series by Robert Asprin. It's full of comedy and corny puns, but it does a great job of describing exactly this.
