    Dungeon 153 - Witching Season

I just got finished reading it and I must admit, it's pretty darn good. Mob of skeletons, Useful! Alternate ogre stats? Check! Hags with levels instead of just standard fare? Super! It will make an excellent alternate/interlude to a small section of Pathfinder #3, Hook Mountain Massacre. -DM Jeff

Fate of 3.5 Support on WotC Website

Has anything been posted on the fate of the numerous tools, columns, and downloads WotC has of their website for D&D 3.5? I imagine once 4E hits, if they have the room they may archive those somewhere (heck there's still some 2nd edition PDFs on the site)...the various searchable indexes for...

Blargney the Second may pop in here. On this topic's sister thread: http://www.enworld.org/showthread.php?t=175367&page=1&pp=30 He's grouped all the indexes we've done into a downloadable excel file you can search for and organize any way you want. Mine has his work that includes this Eberron...

    Eberron NPC List

You know, I never noticed that before, you're right. I have no idea. Maybe because they were trying to create interesting adversaries and combat opportunities for PCs and the easiest way to do that is make them evil? We may never know. -DM Jeff

Dungeons & Dragons Classic Videogame Retrospective

I'll say! They got the first Intellivision cartridge but forgot the very neat first-person sequal for Intellivision, AD&D Treasure of Tarmin. Still, the romp was a good read, thanks! -DM Jeff

    Warlords of the Accordlands

A lot of the notes about a lack of long detailed fluff on races or places is fairly deliberate IIRC. The designers didn't want to do a Forgotten Realms heaping of fluff you needed to learn. They gave you the basics and expected you to put your own spin on races and places and fill in the blanks...

    Heroes of battle: any good?

I found it a great add-on when I ran Red Hand of Doom. And I've returned to it a bunch of times since as the book is filled with utility items (including stealable stat-blocks in the back) and the victory point system as well as general good game-running advice. -DM Jeff

Games you thought you'd like and hated and games you thought you'd hate and liked

I didn't think I'd like Star Wars Saga Edition. I was very wrong, WotC finally got the Star Wars feel to my group dead-on. Back in the day I remember as a kid thinking "how can a game called 'Car Wars' go wrong?!" It did. My group tried to plow through it multiple sessions until finally...

    Why won't you switch?

Without much more to add I just wanted to say I enjoyed reading all the responses, many of which echoed thoughts I had but didn't say. More importantly, my only real fear was that I'd feel alone or that the 3.5 community would vanish, and I no longer feel that way either. Good day. -DM Jeff

D&D 4E Going/Not Going to 4E which edition did you start with?

I started with D&D Basic in 1980. Moved to 1st edition, 2nd edition, 3rd edtion and 3.5 the day each debuted. My group currently simply has no use of a new edition and I do not predict us taking it up. -DM Jeff

How Long Can You DM ?

Back in the 80's and 90's it was 6-7 hours. Nowadays it's about 5. I usually feel it coming on the last half hour. I ran a marathon session towards the end of last year that ran for 10 hours, and I survived but the last hour was filled with missed details and crummy strategy. -DM Jeff
