Yes, but all that matters to me is their intent to nullify the OGL. And they’re not denying that. 😡

What’s a WOTC account? The last I had an account with them was 10+ years ago, with D&D Insider.

I can’t do that without subscribing to D&D Beyond, and I’m not sharing my Google or Apple accounts with WOTC.

They might not even be planning to publish a Core Rulebook, at least at first. Kobold’s business is in 5e adventures, splat books, and Midgard. Even a web-only 5e clone SRD will allow them to continue publishing what they are already publishing. An updated SRD and actual Core Rules will...

Yep. KP briefly had a Black Flag announcement page that said as much, but it was quickly revised to a less specific statement.

Someday, someone will make an AI DM. And some people will pay to play with it. I am fine with this.

Wizards did get me to pay $10/mo for eDungeon & eDragon, plus some 4e tools... for a while. It didn't justify its value for long, though. :( At least with that, I got a bunch of pdf's, of widely variable quality. I have no interest in a VTT, so I'm not sure what ephemeral goods they could offer...

Me too. Dolmenwood is the thing I’m most interested in seeing in the near future. (And the fate of OSR games like OSE is the thing I’m most concerned about with this attempt to undo the OGL. OK?) ;)

I remember building a Player’s Option bard that I just loved to play. He had a wide variety of skills and lots of spells… but he wasn’t good at them. Had a 15-25% spell failure rate, that seemed to come up far more often than that. I played him as a wildly enthusiastic adventurer, who was often...

No poll option for me, either. In 5e, I've used 3rd party adventures and worldbooks, including monsters (mostly Kobold Press and Goodman). In BX, I've used OGL 1.0a OSE rules and adventures (which this OGL 1.1 nonsense has suddenly lumped in with 5e OGL stuff).

Whatever RPG I play is ‘Dungeons & Dragons’…. It’s like people who drink an ‘orange Coke’. Most likely, I’ll be playing something in the 5e mold, and/or something in the BX/1e/2e mold. Whether or not I buy many new Wizards products is another matter, yet TBD.
