5E: Converting Monsters from White Dwarf Magazine for Fifth Edition

Ok yes happy with the multiattack. Musing on whether 22hp (4d8 + 4) is too weak but can always make leader types/alphas later.

    Has Anyone Statted the Tatzelwurm?

It came up on a random google as I was looking up Tatzelworms to see what versions around there were. Could se no harm and some possible beneift as I thought someone may be interested. Who knows..one or more of the original posters might be (a) around and (b) interested.

5E: Fifth Edition Monsters Inspired by Third Edition Sources

Ok - Noxious cough --> Noxious spores (recharge 5-6) I think "charm" is less interesting gameplay-wise for players and GMs but can live with it. Amenable to a restriction. Did you have a CR in mind? Intelligence 8 maximum maybe? ooo...forgot about transforming into a swarm of locusts...yeah...

5E: Fifth Edition Monsters Inspired by Third Edition Sources

What did you have in mind with Tempt Aerial Creature Something like: ------------------------------------------- The thrall targets one aerial creature she can see within 30 feet of them and who can see her. The target must succeed at a DC 12 Wisdom saving throw or become charmed until the...

    Fire archomental

"Archomentals are primordial elemental beings of great size and power. Some (such as the Elemental Princes of Evil) are named and worshipped, while others are nameless and unknown outside the elemental planes. Fire archomentals have been sought after and imprisoned by dwarvish nations as their...

ok. Happier with 27 (5d8 + 5) healing and 44 (8d10) psychic damage. CR 24 is fine by me. 25hp for a fire elemental is fine.

I like the Purifying Pyre - 3 firepower sounds about right. Healing seems low - 22hp at that level of fighting is pretty insignificant...? Agree on cost/benefit problem with Create Fire Elemental as is - 20 points sounds much better.

    D&D General Bedlamite

Probably worth discussing, I mean, yes it is a word but is derived from the Bethlem (psychiatric) hospital

    D&D General Bedlamite

Ok 5e book (Sigil and the Outlands) says, The Wailing Hollows are a network of wind-eroded tunnels that originate in the Gatemouth district and extend into Midtown. A haunting whistle pervades the pitch-black caverns, which mimic the ecosystem of Pandemonium. Although darkweavers prowl the...

    D&D General Bedlamite

So 5e planescape mentions an ore called Bedlamite that is found in/near Bedlam (outlands - near gate to Pandemonium). Was this new for 5e? If older, was there any lpre about its properties (or existence) in earlier editions?
