Pinball is undergoing a major resurgence. Just a few years ago, Stern was the only company in the world making tables. Now there are several, like Jersey Jack and Pinball Bros. Those smaller companies generally specialize in limited edition tables for collectors.

Forgive me for repeating myself, but... if these were nice sharp-edged dice, I'd probably drop $50 or so on a set or two. But $37 (or more) for ordinary dice is preposterous. I've bought very nice sets of those for 3 or 4 bucks in the past.

Yes! Although I like Shadowdark, Kelsey's real genius is as an adventure writer. Her one-page adventures for SD are absolute masterpieces of minimalism. She can evoke more atmosphere and thrills on one side of an index card than most writers can manage in a hundred pages.

I notice the format is not the same as the new 2024e monster format. Is that because the lead time wouldn't allow it, or was a deliberate choice? Doesn't matter a lot either way, but I was curious.

I'm reminded of the reward the party gets for completing their first major quest in I found that really delightful. I hope that the bastion system can have some of that same mojo.
