The biggest difference for me would be the ability to discus a set of classes/feats with a single label (5e) and not have to explain WHAT 5e I am using

there is also no pact magic (that we know about as of now) in the 2024 book, and you would have to rebuild it from ground up too... so as of this playtest we have at least 1 class that is as big an issue as the warlord and other 4e classes

if it is a continuation why will new player facing content not support it?

are they? because I have been attacked (more then a little viscously) for suggesting that a warlock cantrip = a cantrip any warlock can take.

it's the exact same thing with a new edition EXCEPT by placing the new name (6e 5.5 whatever) you make it so no one accidentally looks at two version and confuses them.

no longer adding no longer supporting, and making it confusion (wait there are warlock cantrips warlocks can't take?) just like they don't release new options for the 3.5 warlock or the 4e warlock

if you are no longer supporting the old chassis you have made a break point from the book that uses that chassie

So going forward with 'arcane' and 'divine' and 'primal' spell lists how are the 2014 classes getting spells? so in the warlock cantrip thread I have been beat over the head by "it's not on the 2014 spell list" however I also keep being told that nothing will stop the support of the 2014...

how about the complaint I either want a break that fixes or a continuation that allows the old to be used not a continuation that fixes and negates the old...

but fixing all of those but saying they still are viable options is pretty weird... just look at the OTHER response I got
