    My Gaming Goals for 2021

I love supporting Kickstarter Projects and Patreon Projects, but I don't use a lot of it. In many cases, by the time I get it in, I'm wondering why I backed it. I'm going to be more focused in the money I spend on the hobby. I want to get my 3d printer set up and start to use it for gaming...

D&D 5E (2014) Which Virtual Table Top are you using right now and what do you like best about it?

This thread has sort of solidified something that I didn't know that I needed- my requirements are just that it manage the desktop well. Not the system integration. Just the interface with the map and the dice rolling are enough (and I don't really even require dice rolling). In most cases, I...

Buffy: An Appreciation and a Ranking!

Seasons 2, 3 and 6 were my favorite. Yes, 6 was gloomy, but I liked it. 5 was good. I dislike 1 just because I have a hard time getting anyone to watch past this one because it was so formulaic and campy. My only argument is "It gets better...". 4 and 7 sort of stalled- 4 was running in...

D&D 5E (2014) Which Virtual Table Top are you using right now and what do you like best about it?

How are you using Foundry? One of the hosting providers? Or did you set it up yourself? I ask this of anyone using Foundry. I found a docker image that I was thinking of spinning up on AWS, but I was wondering how people were using it.

Any Skies of Sordane Backers Here?

The thing to remember about resin printers is that you're dealing with toxic waste, and so there's a lot more concern about handling of the material. It's one of the reasons I went with PLA- the level of care and the additional material required were a bit much for me just getting into this.

Any Skies of Sordane Backers Here?

I joined, but I haven't gotten my printer up and running. What printer are you looking at? I have the Sovol SV01, and have it almost up and running. I was probably going to look at Hexton Hills first.

D&D 5E (2014) Which Virtual Table Top are you using right now and what do you like best about it?

Yes, this has been a real boon. I've had FG forever, but my ISP when I moved wouldn't allow the incoming traffic for the longest time. They do now, but not having to set it up at all is a lot better.

D&D 5E (2014) Which Virtual Table Top are you using right now and what do you like best about it?

Another one I'd not heard of. They're popping out of the woodwork! Again one without the mechanics, and I'm warming up to that. How has your experience using it been? I tried the tutorials and it looks pretty slick, but just wondering if there were any annoyances you've come across in use?

Thanks for that mention of Owlbear Rodeo. I'd not heard of it- the simplicity is somehow appealing.

    So Cyberpunk 2077

Well, we're supposed to be moving to SAFe. Hopefully that's better. But what I've seen doesn't make it seem like it will be so. That planning at the beginning of the iteration is rough.

    So Cyberpunk 2077

Not in my experience. It's the scrum team. We have to go before kangaroo courts (not really courts, but higher ups) that judge everything wrong and the resposibility and how we will make it not happen again. We go to them for errors in delivery, late delivery, not meeting agile metrics...

    So Cyberpunk 2077

Former game QA, current software developer here. Can also vouch for this. And the release windows are very uncompromising with retail and the holiday seasons. I remember working on a game doing 36/12s for a few weeks (36 hours on/12 hours off) to get a master out the door in time for it to be...

D&D 5E (2014) Which Virtual Table Top are you using right now and what do you like best about it?

One thing that I appreciate is that you have the API open. I was able to make a free project recently building off of that to help people use the die roller elsewhere (while hopefully making more people aware of what you offer). Keep up the good work! As far as what I use, we used roll20 this...

How much did you spend on Gaming this year. OUCH

This is my motto that I also live by. I love the hobby, have excess, and love to see what people are doing. And I'm hoping to a certain extent to get favorable Karma when I launch my own project. ;) In Patreon alone, I come up to about $600, and that's the least of my support options...
