The problem is the players are "afraid" because a crappy roll on a "save or die" roll could kill of their character that they (potentially) put a lot of time/energy into, and 1 single roll could ruin all of that. I have fallen victim to several "save or die" rolls, and it's not a lot of fun...

Yes, Mark of Death was bad....but now Eberron novels are no longer considered canon.

I have never had a bad thing to say about DDI until today. I was very frustrated that the customer service couldn't actually help me in the area that the phone menu said they could. They were very upfront and honest about this fact though.

I have too. Didn't do me any good. All that customer service could tell me is that they can't transfer me to the technical assistance division, that I did have an active subscription, and that they would call me back. After I hung up, I realized they didn't take my number. I called the 800...

Restarted browser, cleared cookies and cache, tried it on another computer and on my droid x, and nothing. It was working earlier today, because I downloaded the latest dungeon issue earlier today. Makes a crappy day even worse!

Anyone else having trouble logging in? I login, and then click on an insider article and it tells me to subscribe. I call the customer service number, and they can't help, but they can tell me I have a subscription. And I can't even use the help part of the site, I keep getting a redirect.

I went to redownload some older podcasts, and they're not there anymore. Anyone know what happened or why?

I like the suggestion they give in the new ToH to start the players 2 levels below suggested levels to increase the lethality. :eek::D

Might be easier to ask me "which rpg systems do you own that you do play?":) I have a habit of buying the books, then never running/playing the games. Of course, I also have ADD, so my attention DOES wander a lot...

Starting our first session (character generation!) on Wednesday. Here's to hoping the store gets its shipment on Tuesday. Would rather have the books to reference than have to drag my laptop with me.

If Eberron Dragonmarks are allowed, the Mark of Storm is nice for a storm sorcerer. Gives you a controllery feel, as you can slide targets that take lightning or thunder damage (like into flank, off a cliff, etc). Not a direct damage dealer, but could lend to damage being dealt!

Also, Warlords have polearm gamble (gambit?) as a feat for OA with reach, and I guess you could say polearm flanker is "threatening reach" when in flank (but not for when they move).

My only complaint is that for the Desert of Athas, there is a whole LOT of water in this set.
