    (IC) Dog Days of Doom!

Deirdre stepped up next to Havok and readied her sword. Sure enough, the skeletons advanced and she lashed out violently, striking the abomination with holy fury and a shout of satifaction. Posted her action since I won't get a chance to post again until tomorrow night and she'll get to act...

(OOC) The Dog Days of Doom

Hey team. I'm stuck in all day meetings today and tomorrow so can only post at night (Pacific Time). In general, Deirdre will stick next to Havok, trying to protect Anson and company as they head to the brazier. For the first round, she'll ready an action to attack any skeletons that come within...

    (IC) Dog Days of Doom!

Deirdre nodded at the giant-kin's suggestion. "I will join Havok to strike the undead. Anson will need Caer and your strong arm to protect and assist him while he works." She then drew her sword and raised her shield as she positioned herself next to the dwarf and waited for him to lead the charge.

(OOC) The Dog Days of Doom

Looks like another beacon might be on the far side of the chamber. Likely there's more that just skeletons in there. I say we move in a strike fast while Anson uses the sticks.

Me too. I think you described a perfect mashup for DS.

D&D General WotC: 'Of Course We're Going To Do' Baldur's Gate 4

I’d be all over that. Just find it doubtful that is something that a WotC game studio would do well. One can hope.

(OOC) The Dog Days of Doom

I may be optimistic, but it only has 22 hp left. If Anson can get a sneak attack in, Max, Deirdre and Benny should finish it off.

D&D 3.x Mike Selinker about the release of 3.0 D&D

I was here, lurking, observing, waiting. I had just started a 2e campaign (homebrew) for our group, which I rapidly converted to 3e. Good times.

    (IC) Dog Days of Doom!

Deirdre stepped aside lightly, avoiding the heavy stone lid while averting her eyes from the bright flash of light. She then stepped up beside Max to help shield Benny while drawing her sword. She channeled divine inspiration from Corellon to attack the creature twice in quick succession with...

Reading and Watching: Simultaneous Media Consumption

OK, so may not simultaneous in a strict sense, but nearly so... Recently I finally started reading James Corey's book series "The Expanse" (starting with Leviathan Wakes). I also noticed this was a series on Amazon Prime, so decided to start watching that too. Now I'm trying to pace the...

    (IC) Dog Days of Doom!

Deirdre cleaned and sheathed her blade before kneeling over the fallen cleric of Wee Jas. She carefully removed the scroll and then arranged the charred remains in a state of rest before offering a quiet prayer for Meldin's soul to find its way to hallowed halls of his god. Standing, she moved...

(5.24 PBP) Vault of the Dracolich (IC) Redux

TEAM LAKE - Bjorn Bjorn-frog shifted his bulk in the mud while concentrating on the silvery streams of light, this time moving it to burn a cultist behind him with its radiant light. Bill growled and chirped at his side. Bjorn uses his action to move the moonbeam to cultist F2. Moonbeam...

(OOC) The Dog Days of Doom

Agreed, should only be the grappled one left and looks like Havok took care of it. Rest are turned or dead-dead.

    (IC) Dog Days of Doom!

Zombie 4 isn't turned, but Havoc grappled it. It has 10 hp left. Rest are turned.

D&D General Does anyone recall coming across any magic weapons that return when thrown...other than Dwarven Thrower, Hammer of Thunderbolts or magic boomerangs?

This reminds me of Stormbringer, Elric's sword, which always found a way to return to his side, even across great distances. There's also the bonded weapon property of Pact of Blade Warlock, which is likely based on this. Not thrown per se, but another mechanic for returning.
