    D&D 5E (2014) Sidekick Death Saves

Sure! I allowed it myself the other day. I was running Phandelver with one player, and a sidekick, and the sidekick succumbed to her wounds, but I didn't want the sidekick to die outright. Tweak to your hearts content, you're supposed to make the game yours.

D&D General It's Time To Vote For Your Favourite D&D Monster!

One does not simply use Beholders and Mind Flayers, they are the foundation of an awesome campaign. Just kidding, you can use them however you like. I do like them as BBEG, not random encounters, like an owlbear, or goblins, for example.

I don't blame anybody, but I do credit Stranger Things.

Pathfinder 2E Here's the Cover Art for Pathfinder 2E's April Bestiary 2

What's funny is, this cover is in line with all previous bestiaries by Paizo. Maybe they have not changed their style enough? I think that is a plus, I like the Pathfinder flavor, so I'm glad they are not changing the recipe. I do wish they slowed a bit the crunch dept.

D&D 5E (2014) Eberron: Rising from the Last War Coming For D&D In November

All the flavor pointed at them being primarily psionic users, could you avoid that? sure, specially if you don't want psionics in D&D. I happen to like Psionics.

D&D 5E (2014) Eberron: Rising from the Last War Coming For D&D In November

Ok, I stand corrected. My group liked it a lot, as we switched to it 100% when it came out. I think Skills and Powers included conversion notes for The Will and the Way. I have to check my books.

D&D 5E (2014) Eberron: Rising from the Last War Coming For D&D In November

Yeah, I don't know which one was published first, but for example, The Will and the Way which was a Darksun product, used the same rules that Skills and Powers used. I think that makes perfect sense. It would've been weird to keep two systems.

mTHAC0 (menthal THAC0) was based on different stats, so yeah you needed a different THAC0

D&D 5E (2014) Eberron: Rising from the Last War Coming For D&D In November

I'm disappointed the Mystic will not be in the book. Psionics was an important part of Eberron to me.

Pathfinder 2E Pathfinder 2 Core Layout

I like the layout of the book, and even though I need reading glasses I have no trouble with the fonts, icons etc. The character sheet though makes me want to pull my eyes out :D. Who wastes color ink on a character sheet anyway? very minor gripe though.

Pathfinder 2E It's Finally Here! The Pathfinder 2E Review

I didn't participate on the playtest, or kept tabs on it, so I'm looking at P2 with fresh eyes, and I like what I see. I don't understand the details fully, but I think the changes to multiclassing are great (now archetypes), also the introduction of backgrounds. At first I thought there were...

Pathfinder 2E Release Day Second Edition Amazon Sales Rank

Looks like it's just behind the D&D PHB now in #2. I don't think it will overtake it, but it's good to see people still like PF. I will always be thankful to Paizo for keeping the OGL alive, and for providing support for a system I still enjoy, even if I prefer 5e. I'm looking forward to...

A giant fire breathing lizard. Not too weird I guess, but this is back in the 2e days

    D&D 5E (2014) A tweak for Counterspell

I just wanted to point out that this is an FAQ addressed by WotC, counter-counter is specifically allowed.

    D&D 5E (2014) A tweak for Counterspell

Seems rather arbitrary to allow you to counterspell only some spells, the complexity you try to get rid of is still there. I debated applying a similar rule with my group. The reasoning being as mentioned here, you are interrupting yourself by casting counterspell in the middle of the casting of...
