    [Recruitment/Discussion] Serial Superheroes Game

Guilt Puppy, Okay, I used the Smart Hero as a premise for my Dragon Keeper class and the Green Dragon from the MM as a premise for the dragon itself, just see if it's okay, and make all the changes you like straight into the file and post it again, edited.

    [Recruitment/Discussion] Serial Superheroes Game

Name: Matt Reilly Alias: The Dragon Keeper Brought up by an abusive father and an indifferent stepmother, Matt was a very independent child already at an early age. Most of the time he kept to himself in his room, so that he could avoid his father's bursts of anger. During this time Matt made...

    [Recruitment/Discussion] Serial Superheroes Game

In a way I'm more into the "invisible and nonexistant creature that turns into a visible and extremely existant creature," because then our enemies will have at least some chances against my pet. Being killed by an invisible dragon that you didn't even know was there isn't just right. :D Cool...

    [Recruitment/Discussion] Serial Superheroes Game

Well, as I've been playing some Godlike lately, I of course took the inspiration from there. In Godlike the Sidekick talent creates a buddy that is constantly invisible, but can still affect the world around it... of course I can see where that would lead to problems in game balance if used in...

    [Recruitment/Discussion] Serial Superheroes Game

I'd be interested. I don't own the d20 Modern manual, but I can probably make use of the System Reference Document. As for an idea for a character, I dunno... maybe a straightforward brick in the style of Hulk and The Thing. "Hulk smash!" and "It's clobberin' time!" must be my favourite cartoon...

    D&D in d20 Modern

Yesterday this really weird thought popped into my mind: how do the people who live in the world of d20 Modern, and especially Urban Arcana, perceive D&D and other RPG's? I can see that there could be several different approaches: -The Shadow is just a manifestation of people's deepest dreams...

    Atheism in DnD Campaigns

For a tongue-in-cheek kind of an atheist in a fantasy world, there was a soldier in Terry Pratchett's Discworld novel Small Gods, who didn't believe in the existence of gods. This remained his view even when confronted by a god. "Don't think that you can get around me just because you exist."

    The worst Roleplaying game ever!!!

I just read some passages from FATAL, and it gets my vote for the worst RPG ever. I think I've been scarred for life by that game...

Got Urban Arcana! Summary & your questions answered!

I can see two ways to quickly fix that: 1) Add the extra Hit Die into the ECL. 2) Dispose of the extra Hit Die altogether. I'm probably going to use 2).

    Death-Who-Hops <Updated!>

Way... cool! :D You've really made original use of the tauric template. Keep it up! I wouldn't wanna run into him in a dark alley... heck, I wouldn't wanna run into him on a clear day. ;)

If EN World was a village, who would be whom?

Just for the heck of it, who would fill the standard roles in an EN World village? As the Chief I'd see either Morrus or Piratecat. Eric Noah's definitely the Village Elder. Now, who would fill all the other roles, like Troubadour, Sage, etc. etc. etc? :D

How Do you Say "No" to your PCs

Whenever I DM I disallow Splatbooks completely, because, IMO, most of the material is seriously broken. Two of my players whine at this judgement, but I usually remain strict on these terms. I might on an occasion allow them to use Non-Corebook material, but only after I've looked into it. The...

    About reverse dungeons...

I just got the idea of a reverse dungeon campaign. The idea is that the players are members of a goblin tribe. Better yet, the players are leading members of the tribe. Each player gets assigned a character randomly. Deriving from the Monster Manual, the characters I'm thinking about would be...

OMG, I just had the funnest session of my entire life!

I'll have to agree, an annoying NPC can be one of the funnest aspects of the game, as long as it's run as more comic relief than anything else. The DM didn't run Goebbels like this. Goebbels was annoying, not in the silly way that some people call kender and gully dwarves annoying, but plain...

Really like it. She's got some attitude. And a big sword. :D

OMG, I just had the funnest session of my entire life!

That we'd do, unless the DM wasn't protecting the squirrel with his divine abilities. And according to the DM Goebbels might turn out to be useful... yeah, maybe as a trap-springer, when we "accidentally" leave the 10-foot pole at home. Well, our DM belongs to the school of thought...
