Pathfinder 1E Fiddler's Lament Questions for the Carrion Crown Plug In

I'm interested to hear how people handled the various characters and integrating them into the AP. I've sent a link to this thread to the adventure author, Greg Vaughan, so hopefully he can come by and share his thoughts, but hey, once the adventure's out in the wild it's fair game for all kinds...

Pathfinder 1E [Legendary Games] The Stars Last Gleaming for Arcforge - and 50% off Aethera!

We hadn't planned on including those ones. They do have some Aethera content in them (so they are listed under the Aethera category), but aren't part of the Aethera product line per se. That said, if you'd like to order them from our website at makeyourgamelegendary.com, I'd be willing to do a...

Thanks for the kind words! We definitely work hard to maintain that reputation!

Pathfinder 1E Pathfinder 1.5 rumblings: Corefinder

Yes. Schedule still TBD. We're a small company so it's not going to be on the scale of Paizo or WotC with thousands of players, but we'll put things through their paces with live players for sure, as many as we can manage, with surveys for response and discussion channels.

Pathfinder 1E Pathfinder 1.5 rumblings: Corefinder

Sure, and no solution is going to please everyone because there are lots of different ideas about what's broken and what needs to be fixed on this issue and on others. We'll be working with careful consideration and creativity to come up the best way to bridge the gap and we'll see how everyone...

Sure, if things progress agreeably and the market is there, we'll certainly keep expanding things with monster books and more.

We're definitely working to crack the code on both of those issues - winnowing down the Christmas tree-ing of items and making combat more dynamic and less "stand and smash"/"save or suck."

Pathfinder 1E Pathfinder 1.5 rumblings: Corefinder

Thanks for the reply! 1. We have studied both games (and designed many products for each of them) as well as others, both relatively new games and going back to the early 1980s. 2. We do not currently have a public list of identified issues or goals, other than those described in the OP for...

Pathfinder 1E Pathfinder 1.5 rumblings: Corefinder

We've gotten enough feedback about folks interested in a streamlined and refined PF1 (reducing some of the Mathfinder-ness of it, amongst other things) that we think it should be a viable branch from the old 3.x tree. One never knows for sure with a new venture, but our research looks promising...

Pathfinder 1E Pathfinder 1.5 rumblings: Corefinder

I've run 5E some but Pathfinder more, and it's definitely possible to stick with PF1 (and we are still continuing to produce products for it).

Pathfinder 1E Pathfinder 1.5 rumblings: Corefinder

I hope you do check it out, though given the difficulties in getting things processed through the HeroLab system (especially on the Pathfinder 1st Ed side now), I doubt that is going to be likely. It'd be great if we could, but... let's just say there are challenges.

Pathfinder 1E Pathfinder 1.5 rumblings: Corefinder

Yes. The plan is to create a core version of the essential mechanics of the system, with then modules added on to suit the various genres. Heroic Fantasy will be the first of those modules, as sales trends suggest that's the biggest market for TTRPGs, but there's so much room beyond for...

Pathfinder 1E Pathfinder 1.5 rumblings: Corefinder

That's the open question: Is there enough of a market for this kind of project to make it worth the effort? It's something we thought about opening up a year and a half ago but decided to hold off and see how things played out with the overall Pathfinder marketplace with 1st and 2nd Edition, and...

Pathfinder 1E Pathfinder 1.5 rumblings: Corefinder

Hey, that's the eternal challenge of any kind of game design, since "broken" is often very much in the eye of the beholder, but with a team of very experienced Pathfinder designers and newer folks as well we've got a pretty good handle on the rough parts of the system that need refinement. No...
