My FLGS owner has stated that about 75% of his D&D players have no access to the internet, and it's not like they don't spend money on D&D. I don't know if it's just that one store or if the market is like that in some places, so I hope that WotC is not listening to the internet voices alone.

My posting has remained about the same. But really it's because I have month old twins, and using the laptop and perusing ENWorld is the only thing I have time to do in between the screams and such.

We have plenty enough around here. Enough to make sure I interview them prior to them coming to one of our houses. My local FLGS knows the kind of game we run and is a good enough judge of character to discriminate who would and who would not be a good fit.

Right now I'm pretty happy with the 4E mechanics, so really the only thing that would turn me off of it would be an utterly alien design that just didn't inspire me to play.

D&D is my hobby. I've played many other RPG's and have always come back to D&D.

D&D is no monopoly. If 4E tanks, something else will come along to fill the void. Around here when Magic: the Gathering was new, AD&D 2E was already starting to wane and a lot of people played other RPG's more prevalently, especially White Wolf products.
