As far as I know, these are the authors of Serpent Kingdoms: Ed Greenwood, Eric L. Boyd, and Darrin Drader. So, I don't think SKR was involved. In addition, these were specially-commissioned templates for us, although that wouldn't provide any insight as to their creative point of origin...

I think there is one creature per template currently. There may be more by the time we go to press - not sure yet. If the Book of Templates: Deluxe Edition goes to print, these will most likely not be included. We have alternate plans for them :] However, expect some revision & expansion of...

The title fits the theme of the templates. There are many templates based on mythology, arachnids (of various types) and, of course, serpents and serpent-like critters (such as the couatl). Does that help? :)

Thanks for the great review, John! We appreciate it. These races will also be tweaked a bit in the future (frex: the dalnoy will actually have skills rather than a point allocation, the races will be made 3.5 compatible, etc.) Not a lot of rework, just a little update and facelift. Thanks again...
