We try to play every Saturday, but it usually ends up being 3 times a month due to people being out of town or whatever. Usually play from about noon to 4 PM at my apartment, though that's somewhat flexible.

I know it totally breaks the paradigm, but I hope they eventually release some rules for/templates balanced for PCs. I know there's a whole other big company focused on letting you play a werewolf/vampire/mummy-lich, but I like having those options for PCs. One of my only major disappointments...

You are correct - it's a common mistake, since people assume that you're just going "when I have 2 in spellbook for level x, now I have 3". Unfortunately, that's just for the attack spells, not the utility ones.
