    RPG stores in Boston needed

Pandemonium's my shop of choice, too. But if you really want "in the heart of Boston" (as opposed to Cambridge), try The Compleat Strategist on Massachusetts Ave. (somewhere between Berklee College the Symphony Hall). It's also more of a gaming shop...Pandemonium's actually sci-fi book store...

Looking for advice on making a unique character

Try rolling randomly! :) It can inspire and challenge you to try something really new. Let's see...no wizards...I'll just go with the core book here: Race (Roll 1d8): 1. Human, 2. Dwarf, 3. Elf, 4. Gnome, 5. Half-elf, 6. Half-orc, 7. Halfling, 8. Somethin' wacky (monster class?). Then roll...

Two 20s, no 1s - how often do you use altered dice?

I don't even cheat when a big, slobbering troll appears! :)

    XP for "defeated" monsters

I'd give the XP twice. But I'd hate it if a player of mine insisted I was awarding XP wrong. That's why I don't give 'em the breakdown on the whys for their awards. :)

How long have you been posting on ENWorld?

I lurked and mooched scoops for while, but started posting after 3e hit the shelves. So Option B, I'm thinkin'. :)

Is a hammer of Moradin balanced?

It's beefy, but not a mad cow.

If you join a group with 4 players alread?

Whatever I'm in the mood for. Others in my core group see it the same way. As a result, we've got a party of one fighter/cleric, one fighter, one barbarian, and a fighter/druid. No arcane guy, no rogue. And we're having a great time. :)

Naclifalx. Falx falcis (Latin) = hook or sickle NaCl = chemical formula for salt Stick an apostrophe in there if you need it. :)

How many of your own PCs can you remember?

I've been the DM for most of my D&D "career", so not so many campaign PCs. So let's see...these are PCs I've had the pleasure to play for more than three sessions: Reldo Thingirdle, halfling thief (2e) Dusk Dunedrifter, Athasian half-elf fighter/mage/thief (2e) Thaim, human ranger (2e) Tikin...

Relation Between Message Board Visitors and Product Purchasers

Makes sense to me. People who are more "devoted" and have less of a casual relationship with the game make more purchases and are probably more of the sort who visit EN World. Also, I think there are more DMs here than players, and I find they tend to buy more supplemental stuff than players. :)

Which fighting style does your fighter use?

My bodyguard/metalmaster's all about the dwarven waraxe and heavy steel shield. :)

    Most interesting monster death

Here's one that springs to mind from an old 2e campaign I ran: Spelljammer. Goldpiece, a tinker gnome outpost, is being destroyed by a pair of witchlight marauders (giant, voracious, magical mutant monstrosities thought to be destroyed in an ancient war). Devouring gnomish buildings and...

Get This - Paladin's mount not immune to fear

Wow. Never realized. :) I kinda like that... The horse freaks out so Holy Hero has to take the enemy on all by his lonesome...very epic. :)

    What's the deal with half-orcs?

No prob with 'em. Not my usual choice, but it's good they're there. :)

    Gray Ooze question

I'd go through that "what equipment's affected first on a bad save chart" in the DMG (?), and work from that. I don't think one hit from a gray ooze should render a foe nude, so I'd make it whack one clothing-type item at a time, starting with armor. Hope that helps. :)
