Well, yes, it is a FR game, however, I have none of the FR books, so I won't run it as a FR game as such. Anyway, you already got the chameleon from a source not on that list, so I'm affraid I'll have to say no to any more additions from other sources. :)

Yes, it's in the DMG, page 185, right underneath the chart on how to etimate item values. Alter self is ok, but only from one of the sources I listed in the first post. You wouldn't have to multiply it by 1,5 by making it a robe, true. Nothing to apologize for, I'm just now learning the item...
