Eberron It Is? [UPDATED & CONFIRMED!]

I see it as more of a two-for. As I understand, there are at least 4 different villains to choose from and multiple different paths the DM and players could take. As is, you could run the adventure in FR. If you want to change it up even more, run it in Eberron (or Greyhawk, for that matter)...

Eberron It Is? [UPDATED & CONFIRMED!]

I was thinking the same thing when I first read about Dragon Heist, and I have been planning on just such a strategy. Now that we have an Eberron resource book for 5e, I am wondering if there will be conversion notes in the Dragon Heist book to run it in Eberron.

New Campaign Setting Hint Is Eberron?

I would love to see a full Eberron campaign setting book for 5e. I've already been thinking about what I could do to turn Dragon Heist into an adventure set in the Eberron world.

    Whatever Happened to Acererak?

"D&D is completely excluded from the film however." I think you meant to say "isn't" instead of "is". Nice article.

The Favourite Official D&D Products Ranked

Not surprised to see Hoard of the Dragon Queen and Sword Coast Adventurer's Guide at the bottom, especially HotDQ. That was a terrible first outing for an adventure campaign when launching a new/revised game system. Not to say it didn't have some good moments in it and good production values...

D&D 5E (2014) Xanathar’s Guide to Everything is the fastest-selling Dungeons & Dragons book of all time

I basically agree with your assessment, even without the supporting data to back it up. However, I think there is one exception, and that is that it would take ~20,000 copies sold of the current 5e books for WotC to break-even. I realize this was just a hypothetical number on your part, but...

#RPGaDAY Day 26: Which RPG provides the most useful resources?

This is a tough one because I think over the years several companies have been very good at supplying good support materials for their gaming systems (HERO, FASA, TSR). But for these days, I would have to give the nod to Paizo. They do an excellent job across the board of providing materials...

#RPGaDAY Day 27: What are your essential tools for good gaming?

Basic snack foods like chips, and byob. Also, our GM insists on bringing Chips-A-Hoy cookies to each session, so we humor him by indulging in consuming the cookies during the later half our gaming sessions.:D

#RPGaDAY Day 28: What film/series is the biggest source of quotes in your group?

Even though we are often playing fantasy RPGs, I would say most of our quotes have typically come from either Star Wars or Star Trek:TOS. We tend to draw on a lot of different sources, though. Everything from Monty Python to Seinfeld.

#RPGaDAY Day 25: What is the best way to thank your GM?

One of our group recently asked if we would all chip in to buy a new game for our GM to thank him for all the work he puts into to us having fun. We all did chip in ($5/person), and it was nice to give some appreciation to someone who does a lot of work which probably gets taken for granted.

#RPGaDAY Day 18: Which RPG have you played the most in your life?

Dungeon and Dragons, in all its iterations. Mostly 1st edition and 3.x edition. I only played 4th edition once.

#RPGaDAY Day 17: Which RPG have you owned the longest but not played?

For me it would be Behind Enemy Lines from FASA, 1982 version. I remembered it from my days in college and I went out of my way to find a buy a copy off of the internet. But I have never played it. I probably only opened the box once or twice. I was on a big WWII kick at the time and thought...

Yesterday's Enterprise: Talking With Guy McLimore About FASA's Star Trek Roleplaying Game

So do I! I remember coming across that first big box set at a local fantasy & Sci-fi convention in April of '83. The box has not held up well, but I still have all of its components, along with many of the supplements. Those guys at FASA sure poured a lot of thought and time into those...

Unearthed Arcana Unearthed Arcana Explores Downtime Activities

Benji states it nicely and succinctly . You could just role-play your way through downtime, either live or in writing. But it's especially nice to have some rules around magic items, particularly Crafting Items in 5th edition, which up to this point was rather vague at best. One could even...

Official D&D Character Sheets Coming In June

I sort of get it, but let's be real: in this informational age of the internet, who is not going to look for something to keep track of character stats on the internet, or photocopy a template, even if they are a new player. I am curious how much profit WotC thinks they will make off of this...
