Look, no offence to US soaps, but I don't think they're in the running for over the toppest. Not as a collective. Indiviudal ones might rank.. e.g. the oft mentioned but rarely seen* Passions. Aussie soaps are no more ott. In fact they tend to glorify the mundane. *rarely seen by me.

Indian melodramas are a trip. My wife's late grandmother was Bengali and watched Bengali language soaps. Although I can't say for certain as I rarely sat down to watch with her, these almost never switched into English.

Losing one round? No biggie. Losing multiple rounds? More rounds is more worse. For me, I'm not greatly bothered. I want the game to have more interesting effects than just HP loss. As such I am willing to accept the downsides thereof. I feel that the sting of action loss can be mitigated...
