Can you target a magic missile at an object?

Actually, my MM says this (3.0 MM p. 17):

Is there any reason the relay for movement should not work?

My DMG says this under "Combat: Keeping Things Moving: Simultaneity" (3.0 DMG p. 62): This seems like a perfect case-study in the importance of that principle. DM says "No, by the time the 1st person completes their move, there is no time left in the round for anything else." See example in...

    Stats for Zuggtmoy?

Yeah, I actually turned that up as well, but it seems to make it sound like part of a series on "cults" (followers of famous demons), not actual stats for the demon herself. Unless "Thrall of Zuggtmoy" currently has some technical meaning I'm missing out on.

    Stats for Zuggtmoy?

Has WOTC ever published official 3.x stats for the demonness Zuggtmoy? Deities & Demigods, Book of Vile Darkness, Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil, Dragon magazine, anything?

Can you target a magic missile at an object?

Stand between a bard and a paladin? Ugh, I'm chaffing at the very thought.

Can you target a magic missile at an object?

No, D&D (or any game really) does not work like that. Magic missile as specified only affects creatures. It's the job of the DM in D&D to explain why this might be the case, if necessary. Perhaps this force-magic only seeks out and damages things with a life force in them. I bet you can come...

Warforged slam as secondary natural attack?

I'm afraid that I've never looked at Shifter statistics, so it's pretty improbable that I'm thinking of that. Geez, I really wish I had that book here now. EDIT: Well if all you guys are in agreement, and my DM says he can't find that either, I guess I must have been looking at the entirely...

Warforged slam as secondary natural attack?

Good question, I don't have the Eberron book myself. I recall it being right in the same paragraph with the Warforged slam description, which I studied intensely because it seemed so odd (when the campaign DM brought the book over).

    Dropping a Pack

Well... it's not that new. It's given as a key part of what a fighter might do in a sample encounter in the AD&D 1st Ed. DMG, p. 225 (c) 1979. :)

Magic item to store specific spells..

Note that in order to invent your own items, you need to confirm that the DM is using the "Variant: New Magic Items" from the DMG, and specifically approves this item, and then it's up to him to set a price on it, primarily judging from existing items oin the rules. There is no magic item in...

Blatant abuse of the five foot step?

Bastoche: Information I have from a book on skydiving indicates that a person falls about 500 ft. in the first 6 seconds (and that's not yet at terminal velocity). It's certainly not 3 or 4 or 5 seconds to only fall 20 or 40 ft.

Warforged slam as secondary natural attack?

Personally I rule "no" on this issue. It's not explicit one way or the other in official rules or FAQ. However, my sense of the intent is that you've got one "off-hand" opportunity to potentially add one attack. If your left hand is being used for a second weapon, shield, punching, etc., that's...

Magic items: Rods, staves, wands & scrolls...who can use?

Look at 3.0 DMG p. 175, right-hand column (rules are identical in 3.5). Scrolls are "spell completion". Wands & staffs are "spell trigger". Rods are "use activated".

Blatant abuse of the five foot step?

Of course, that is basically the example that the DMG uses to assert that "Sometimes it's important to impose ad hoc simultaneity" ("Combat: Keeping Things Moving: Simultaneity", 3.0 DMG p. 62). One of the 3 options given there is in fact "Don't tell Tordek about the trap until the end of the...

Blatant abuse of the five foot step?

Make sure to rule that he's prone after the fall, so he has to spend a move action next round to stand up anyway. Also, you're running into the issue that falling is rather too safe in the D&D core rules. I use cumulative damage for falling and all other environmental effects (1d6 for 10', 3d6...
