    [Nova Wars] Non-Powered Armors

Tim's Note: There are two classifications of armor in the Nova Wars universe. Powered and Non-Powered Armor. While the line does blur, as Non-Powered Armor has a powerplant designed to keep the suit and it's onboard equipment running, Powered Armor is designed wholly for offense, has...

    [Nova Wars] A Few Weapons

OK, I was sitting down last night and playing with the weapons from my Nova Wars campaign, and figured it might be time to place some here. If you remember, Nova Wars is more Space Opera than gritty realism, so the science is more gobbledygook than anything realistic. Having said that: Enjoy...

Fiat Lux: Free OGC Campaign Setting

Finished the Deneerian Theocracy. I plan on finishing one Kingdom a day, till we get caught up. :) After I do some work on Hold At All Costs 1, I'll probably go back and tidy some stuff up. I have plans on expanding the monkish orders, as well as adding some information on Paladin orders for...

Fiat Lux: Free OGC Campaign Setting

Updated the map for this week. Note the collection of pyramids, obelisks, etc, at the corner of the desert kingdom. The vast swamps and mud-flats to the West of that kingdom have something there, but we'll get to it. The lake in the center of the swamp has a place, should the PC's venture...

    This scares me...

Sometimes real life is just too funny. You could insert this into a d20 Modern game, print the pages as handouts, and the players would claim you suck, because you didn't even try to change the name or hide the connection. It's too good to pass up.

A Work Intensive Approach to World Creation

So I'm envisioning wonders of the world. They fit in three categories: Wonders of the Ancient World, Forgotten Civilizations Wonders of the Ancient World, Known/Active Civilizations Currently in use wonders. I envision: The Lighthouse: Instead of fire at the top, a powerful spell. Still in...

Fiat Lux: Free OGC Campaign Setting

All right, I'm thinking of adding some "Wonders of the World" A lighthouse, a few massive statues, a place where oracles hang out, and a few other things, including a modified "Great Wall of XXXX" Anyone have any suggestions?

Fiat Lux: Free OGC Campaign Setting

I actually asked, regarding feats from the FRCS, the names of Gods, spells from the Magic of Fauren, and got the following answer: As long as I don't reprint the information, making it so that people who wish to use that information must still purchase the books, and providing that those items...

Playing at Evil: Consequences of an Evil PC

I miss my evil PC game. :( It's been awhile since Saduul wreaked havoc on the unbelievers, and used their spilled blood to power foul arcane.

I've been trying to convert the map over to CC3 version, but so far, CC3 keeps crashing on me while I've been doing this, so we won't bother to convert it over, sound good? Now, we've got the basics down on the kingdoms, so I guess tonight or tommorrow, I'll add a new section, probably to the...

Do you let your clerics have all the spells?

Some of you have heard of this before, but this is how I handle Clerics. They must choose 2 lesser and one primary domain. (Usually this is in direct relation to their diety, and all deities have 2 primary and 3 or more lesser domains) They may cast spells level 0-3 from all domains. They may...

So what is the difference between Gamma World d20 and Darwin's World?

My personal opinion? Darwin's World II: good stuff. Gamma World: Bad case of Teh Suck IMHO, if you want to run a gamma world game, get one of the older boxed sets, and use the Darwin's World II mechanics. Just play in the old Gamma World game setting.

A Work Intensive Approach to World Creation

The Dragon Disciple doesn't really fit the idea of the setting so far. Dragons are supposed to be engines of destruction, some smart, some not to bright. Fearsome monsters, not sages in super-heavy plate. So, we're pulling the Dragon Disciple from the PrC list. "But wait, that woman had a...

    Bicycles in YOUR campaign setting!

You know, now that you've mentioned it, the idea of the big front wheel "trikes" from the Victorian Era really sound cool. I'd put them at more expensive than a suit of armor (I checked an old Sears Cataloque. A lever action Winchester .30-.30 was $12.55, a trike was $75.00) and have them be...

OK, next, after the PrC's, is going to be a major undertaking. Putting the monsters on a spreadsheet, and deciding which ones are where, commoner nicknames, sage names, etc. That oughta be fun.

    d20 Modern Questions

I've used Blood & Guts extensively. Mainly for the Hold At All Costs series for Year of the Zombie. THe Pregenerated PC's are 7th level, and work excellently as a Ranger team. Sure, it doesn't reflect perfectly what a Ranger is capable of, but it works for fun, and gives a good time. d20...

The Blackguard The blackguard. The arm and fist of the evil gods. Fallen paladins, warlords soaked in blood, agents of chaos and evil and destruction. Blackguards are few and far between. Directly strengthened by an evil god, the last known Blackguard was over 20 years ago, a human by the name...
