Podcast #113 Exploring Eberron with Keith Baker (Win Exploring Eberron Hardcovers!)

About 40 minutes into the podcast and I find myself confused as to how Keith, Peter and Russ don't get how the alternate history aspect of Twilight 2000 works. That it didn't make sense to them I thought was odd. It's an alternate history folks, it's not hard. The Soviet Union didn't fall...

RPG Crowdfunding News – Svilland, Axon Punk, Lands of Theia, and more

Hehe! Yep the aircraft and military vehicle ID cards we made a lot of use of in the 80s/90s. I think I still probably have a set someplace in some box somewhere. Fond memories indeed! Aces and Eights Shotclock is an interesting idea, I've never played the system but did read about it some years...

RPG Crowdfunding News – Svilland, Axon Punk, Lands of Theia, and more

I backed it at the Deluxe Limited Edition level and tossed in some more to cover the GM Screen and shipping. I do have some worries though about the mechanics. I own all of the Forbidden Lands material and overall like the mechanics for that. I'm still not sold or so sure of it for Twilight 2000...

D&D 5E (2014) If you're an Eberron fan, listen to next week's podcast!

Honestly the podcast is always good to listen to, just not the next one. Though I'm sure I'll thoroughly enjoy that one as well. 👍😉

Roll20 RPG Usage Stats: Growth Everywhere During Pandemic!

I'm curious as to what the "uncategorized" are exactly versus the "other games" category.

RPG Crowdfunding News – Dragonflight, INSPIRISLES, and more

As I've gotten older I've run into the opposite. I find reading from books harder and PDF's on a tablet where I can zoom in easier. As an aside, that really bites though that the shipping for you is so costly. :/

Got a chance to listen to the podcast, sounds like it was a fun time. :)

Podcast Bonus Episode: Burn Bryte Actual Play Demo with James Introcaso

Very cool, look forward to listening to it during tomorrow's wife mandated exercise time! (personally I think she's just trying to get me out of the house)

RPG Crowdfunding News – Jiangshi, The Dark Eye, The Fantasy Trip, and more

Backed Jiangshi Kickstarter and The Fantasy Trip Kickstarter. As an aside, I'm not a big DnD fan honestly. I'll snag this or that but by and large I'm more into other game systems even if I do think that 5e is the best version of DnD that they've ever produced. It's just not over all my...

RPG Evolution - Secrets of RPG Success: Interview with Phil Reed

You all do a damn fine job. You communicate well, something that not all game developers do so well on. :) Oh and a biggie for me is that when you all update a product. You send out an email about it with a forum link with what was updated, usually done by Steve Marsh. I could go on and on...

RPG Evolution - Secrets of RPG Success: Interview with Phil Reed

Good read. I've long thought that Phil Reed and the folks over at SJG's are some of the classiest people out there in the industry.

Podcast #110: Jiangshi Blood in the Banquet Hall with Banana Chan and Sen-Foong Lim

Right, I got that and heard it mentioned in the podcast. I just don't get his reply to my quote. Again, maybe I'm being dense here. I even asked my wife in case I am just indeed being dense and she didn't get his point either. Anyhow, I went and backed their kickstarter to snag a deluxe edition...

Not following your point Darryl? Probably an obvious one, so pardon me for being dense this morning?

Podcast #110: Jiangshi Blood in the Banquet Hall with Banana Chan and Sen-Foong Lim

Loved, loved the podcast. I missed Fridays exercise so to make up for it I went out this morning and listened to the podcast when normally I'd listen to the episode on Mondays. (As Peter alluded to that many listeners probably do) Loved the whole conversation about how to handle the difficulty...

Podcast #108 Burn Bryte with James Introcaso

Was behind this week on my podcast listening and just got to listening to last Saturday's Podcast this morning during my exercise. Good listen and congrats on your win on the Greatest Game in all the World Peter! Hehe. One correction for Morrus, Arcana of the Ancient's Kickstarter that MCG did...

MCG and Pinnacle are the exceptions really and aren't the norm. Great examples of small successful companies that make great use of the tools out there to excel.

RPG Evolution: Making It in the RPG Industry

If you enjoy that, Google Gaming Ballistic that Douglas Cole runs. He designs and does Kickstarter's for GURPS and The Fantasy Trip. He does really good layouts at the end of each Kickstarter breaking down where the money went, how much he made if any etc. He also posts over here off and on...

RPG Evolution: Making It in the RPG Industry

Yep, my impressions from others who have run successful websites is that money like my once a year subscription/support fee aren't really making things profitable for you, just helping the costs out of running the site. I like supporting this outlet because it's a gathering of information in one...

Release Monte Cook’s Numenera setting comes to 5e with Beneath the Monolith

I find myself frequently irked at the "No! You have to play it this way and this way only otherwise it's not Numenera!" Crowd. I feel that they're stifling the growth of the Cypher system with that mindset. I've seen it with other rpgs as well on Reddit that I follow. It's a terrible mindset, it...
