Release Monte Cook’s Numenera setting comes to 5e with Beneath the Monolith

I like how the rules are I like how the rules are really flexible. You can add in a lot more mechanically or complexity wise. Regardless of what some players/gms say on Reddit which I repeatedly see. That's not cypher system! Or you can't do Numenera that way! Poppycock, it's your game of...

Release Monte Cook’s Numenera setting comes to 5e with Beneath the Monolith

Think you're missing the point Sean. Don't get me wrong, I love MCG's products. Heck my wife just talked me into snagging the Invisible Sun black cube which I'd been sitting on the fence with since it came out for various reasons. So we snagged that along with the Bundle of Holding pdf of the...

Release Monte Cook’s Numenera setting comes to 5e with Beneath the Monolith

Yup. Got mine, lovely book. My issue with MCG Kickstarter's though is for the rest of the year I'll be waiting for the rest of the books, one at a time, shipping each time. Four shipments, it's a drawn out process to be sure. I also backed the Ptolus Kickstarter as well, went all in. I think...

RPG Crowdfunding News – TORG Eternity, Paranoia, GURPS, D&D Starter Set, and more

Thanks, I just couldn't figure it out. I now feel a bit dense. :) I'll blame it on age, and having been a gamer since the spring of 1978 tied to having to learn way to many military and government related acronyms over the decades. I think I'm just totally saturated mentally anymore when it...

RPG Crowdfunding News – TORG Eternity, Paranoia, GURPS, D&D Starter Set, and more

I'll blame it on not having finished my coffee yet, but I can't for the life of me parse what "3PP" means? Edit: Read back over it above and still don't get the context. Also wanted to agree that it's a good looking starter set.

GURPS 2020 PDF Challenge & Book of Dungeon Encounters – An Interview With Philip Reed and Sean Punch

Sort of off topic but... waiting to see what your next project is Douglas now that you're doing this full time. You run some of the best Kickstarter's out there. Concise, clear and the communication rocks. I've backed a few simply to back you because it was you even though I have no real desire...

Podcast #107: Mythological Figures & Maleficent Monsters with Mike Myler

Eww, well that's enough information for me then Daryl. Thanks for sharing this additional bit for me and and for the patience in taking me seriously. (y)

    D&D 5E (2014) Epic Monsters: Māui

DnD's very much a secondary if not tertiary sort of interest game mechanics wise. (I'm more of a GURPS/Runequest skill based mechanics sort)That said, you all really do some awesome work with the 5e stuff that I read here. Anyhow, well done on Maui, he looked to be rather difficult to nail down...

Podcast #107: Mythological Figures & Maleficent Monsters with Mike Myler

Great podcast episode, finally got around to listening it while doing my doctor mandated exercise. One thing though Darryl, I'd rather you didn't edit out whatever example Mike used because knowledge is empowering and I'd rather know who/what if you follow. That way if I see a product put out...

GURPS 2020 PDF Challenge & Book of Dungeon Encounters – An Interview With Philip Reed and Sean Punch

Backed it of course. :) Oh and like Douglas Cole mentioned, the $49.00 pledge level is a great one for those new to GURPS who want the base rules! :)

    D&D 5E (2014) Orion Black No Longer a D&D Designer [UPDATED!]

I really enjoy and tend to agree with the points you make in posts. That said I can't stand the @#$R@# sixteen lines of additional vertical text "each" one of your posts contains, How about editing it down, or making it take up more horizontal space verus vertical. Please.

    D&D 5E (2014) Orion Black No Longer a D&D Designer [UPDATED!]

For me, what makes me not want to buy DnD products is that they don't put out pdf versions along with physical versions. That's the current main issue for me. This current social issue has merit worth discussing but isn't a situation that merits banning purchasing their products in my opinion.

    D&D 5E (2014) Orion Black No Longer a D&D Designer [UPDATED!]

Off topic, but is there any damn reason for a mod to have 16 lines of vertical sign off on every damn post that they do? It eats up a lot of screen and is an eye sore. Seriously, imagine if everyone starting do that crap.

Owen Stephens Continues 'Real Game Industry' Posts

"The most common retirement plan among full-time ttRPG professionals, freelance and on-staff both, is "Work until you die." Pretty much looking around that appears to be the new norm for a majority of people in the US these days. Retirement benefits aren't the norm nor very good these days for...
