Roll20's Latest Usage Report: D&D Steady, Cthulhu Down!

As long as they aren't listing me or you for that matter as the individual I don't have a problem with them gathering the information for a general breakdown of what game systems are being played and the percentages.

Roll20's Latest Usage Report: D&D Steady, Cthulhu Down!

I think the bigger issue is getting them all to share. I'm sure most of the platforms have some clear ideas as to what's being played and how many.

Roll20's Latest Usage Report: D&D Steady, Cthulhu Down!

It would be really interesting to see truly accurate numbers and breakdowns on a each game system and edition and from all the various online gaming platforms. Roll20s are just done so crazy that getting a real number about anything is just pure speculation.

Free League Announces Blade Runner TTRPG for 2022

Very very excited for this. The potential is huge for what you could do with it. You could expand into a local area space ala Outland style. You could do Replicant military campaign on other worlds etc. So many possibilities.

Rules FAQ How Many Spells Can You Cast in a Round in D&D 5E?

@volanin Right!? I'm taking it to mean A as you said based on the RAW in Tasha's.

Rules FAQ How Many Spells Can You Cast in a Round in D&D 5E?

Kinda confused due what is written on page 5 of Tasha's Cauldron of Everything. 6. BONUS ACTION SPELLS If you want to cast a spell that has a casting time of 1 bonus action, remember that you can't cast any other spells before or after it on the same turn, except for cantrips with a casting...

Worlds of Design: Tough Times at the Top

Apologies, wasn't trying to say that I thought DnD sucked. I was suggesting a fix to a perceived problem. As an aside I started playing DnD in the spring of 1978. While no longer my favorite system, I do enjoy DnD and in particular I think that 5e is the best overall version. Regardless...

Worlds of Design: Tough Times at the Top

Best solution is to not play level based rpgs where hit points go up as you level and are considered abstract in nature. Play a skill based system with little to no real hit point/health increases and where hits are more devastating. Something like GURPS, Basic Roleplaying RPG (RuneQuest...

Podcast #159: Cursed Captains of Cthulhu with James Barry

Have you listened to the podcast ever? It's obvious that he's putting on this fake laugh that he has never done before. It was for effect and it was highly annoying. Hard on the ears, he'd do it much louder than their normal volume voice work. It is bad audio flat out. I guess I should just...

Podcast #159: Cursed Captains of Cthulhu with James Barry

Enjoyed listening to James on the podcast and the Kickstarter sounds interesting! My only complaint is this is the third week of Peter and his loud annoying hyena cackle fake laugh that he's been doing for the past three episodes. It's really hard to listen to when he does that, it's not his...

TSR Companies & Freelancers Distance Themselves From The New TSR

Tim Kask is old and doesn't agree with their point of view. I'm old and I'm appalled by their words. I'm also annoyed that you make a blanket statement like that when we've seen plenty instances of nasty crap like theirs coming from all age brackets. Personally I can't wait for this total...

D&D 5E (2014) Check Out Wild Beyond the Witchlight's Back Cover & Text

One densely packed 5-20 level dungeon 18 or so months ago, isn't really a good barometer in my opinion. It's basically our only high level dungeon in seven years. Also the amount of levels its made to cover limits it in my opinion, versus doing a more focused on say 17-20th or 15-18th. I don't...

D&D 5E (2014) Check Out Wild Beyond the Witchlight's Back Cover & Text

Yeah, they really really need to show us what they think the game should look like and play like at higher levels. I'd love to see it from them. If there are issues than they need to work on a book that would correct these issues at the higher levels in my opinion.

D&D 5E (2014) Check Out Wild Beyond the Witchlight's Back Cover & Text

While more adventures is a great thing, I'd love to see WotC release more higher level adventures. 10-15, 16-20, just to see how they envision 5e high level adventures to look and feel mechanically as well as creatively.

    Stout and Hairy?

Saul Zaentz was a real piece of work. Screwed a lot of folks out of money and did a bunch of rather crappy business related deals. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saul_Zaentz Making me hungry with that chicken stew as an aside. It looks delious! Also I always considered though...

Soulbound Starter Set Unboxing and Overview

Sounds like board games might be more your style? After all a solid segment of ttrpgs is setting. Which means lore, background, history and myth etc. As an aside I do see this type of statement frequently and I'm always befuddled by it.
