    Alignment Languages?

During our group's session last Saturday, the topic of alignment languages came up. We shared a brief laugh at their expense as two of us tried to enact a conversation in True Neutral. We imagined that a conversation between two dedicated fence-sitters wouldn't be terribly exciting or...

Dr. Si's Curse of the Crimson Throne - Beta Group

Although tempted to poke around the connecting rooms a bit longer, the lone pseudodragon dutifully returns to the upper workroom so as to attentively guard the three bound derro. In the lower workroom, Dj'hân pauses on the threshold, turns to his towering companions and holds a finger up to his...

    Holy Cow! It finally shipped!

Heh. I didn't notice you were in Montreal. I'm in the Snowdon district myself, whereabouts are you? Last time I was in Valet a few weeks ago they didn't have the book on shelf.

Let's have more magic items like these.

I've always been fond of the Seven League Boots. I remember once, in a ridiculous over-the-top game, that a character of mine received Odin's spear Gungnir as a gift and I being rather disappointed because, although it never missed, it was otherwise an ordinary spear that only dealt 1d8 damage...

CB's Pathfinder Beta -- Burnt Offerings

The trailing sheepdog perks up its ears inquisitively as its two-legged herd threatens to separate.

    Holy Cow! It finally shipped!

Lucky you. Seems they've sent a second expedition team (the first died of scurvy or so say the natives) into the deepest darkest jungles of Peru to chop down the tree desperately needed for the printing of my player's long awaited Pathfinder Core Rulebook. Assuming enough men survive the...

Dr. Si's Curse of the Crimson Throne - Beta Group

Dj'hân, standing behind Edmond as directed, cringes at the sound of the door bursting open. "Couldn't you, ya know, just push the door open gently? It'd be good to be quiet-like if we can so we don't let everybody know we're coming..." With that, the halfling urchin moves tentatively past the...

    Tiny air elemental familiar?

I sort of always liked the idea of the gen. To me it always seemed like a missed opportunity that familiars weren't directly involved in a mage's spellcasting as the gen were in the Al-Kadim setting. Isn't teaching/providing magic the traditional purpose of familiars?

    Tiny air elemental familiar?

Easily. I did something similar for a player in my last campaign. I started him out with a bat-winged snake (no venom) that slowly morphed into a pseudodragon by 7th level. This approach seems much more palatable to me to allow arcane PCs to enjoy the benefits of a familiar at low levels before...

    Tiny air elemental familiar?

I figure that between the darkvision, the ability to speak and the general usefulness of a creature able to pick up and manipulate objects that that might set it slightly ahead of other familiars so loosing out on a skill boost would be a reasonable concession. Also, since an improved familiar...

    Tiny air elemental familiar?

My DM has graciously accepted to consider allowing my 1st level sorcerer character to take a tiny-sized gimped air elemental as a familiar. The plan is to advance the elemental to a standard small-sized elemental once I take the improved familiar feat at 5th level. As such, I've tried stating...

Dr. Si's Curse of the Crimson Throne - Beta Group

Dj'hân gestures towards the bound derro. "That one is shackled but those two I tied up with some rope; take a look for yerself. Maybe you should gag em too so they don't start yelling or something when they wake up." Seeing that the coast is clear, the camouflaged pseudodragon crawls out from...

    Scavenger's Guide to Droids

I flipped through this book at my FLGS yesterday; a must buy for any droid player. As a longtime adherent of the droids-are-the-real-heroes-of-the-Star-Wars-universe school of thought this book was long overdue in my opinion.

Dr. Si's Curse of the Crimson Throne - Beta Group

His eyes squeezed shut, the tiny urchin slowly raises his trembling arms towards the necrophidii as if to force even more of the ceaseless wind towards the skeletal targets. Pathfinder – Shadow in the Sky: the Harrowed

OOC: There is an alleyway that backs onto all the buildings along this street; it's for use by servants and where the middens are. Girri can easily make her way to the back of her building but the door only leads to the dowager's kitchen. The only way to Girri's under-stairs hovel is from the...

Pathfinder – Shadow in the Sky: the Harrowed

OOC: Sorry for being so tardy in responding; I'd posted, had been waiting for your response and then got far too caught up with other things. Mea culpa. In the morning, after taking care of her stair sweeping and midden emptying responsibilities, Girri heads out into the streets to make a few...
