On Flurry of Blows. In the Design and Development article, one will find the following: Emphasis mine. I think this means Centered Mind will get the flurry of blows we see here, and for the STR monk, instead of a slide it's just even more damage (probably STR mod?). So, DEX/WIS =...

Well, taking a look at the Design & Development article gives us the following... Something like the Samurai article promised (though not specifically the samurai, but a different "subclass" certainly) might offer the option to you later. Emphasis mine. And to elaborate on what that might mean...

Humans, Elves, and Razorclaw Shifters seem like the way to go. Humans are even, arguably, the best option (or at least close to it) if versatility's your thing, given that there's actually a choice to be made between at-wills, as opposed to one being a good "default option" with others fitting...

Comments after reading through the article beginning-to-end: They look like a TON of fun. They're Psionic Strikers. Interesting. DEX is their primary stat, with WIS or STR being secondary (this article covers the WIS half) They're stuck in cloth armor to get a +2 bonus to AC. So, yes, they can...

OK, so the "monk unarmed strike" counts as its own weapon, which can be enchanted with the Enchant Magic Item ritual, and it IS able to be selected for Focused Expertise? Awesome. Now... if I understand this correctly, only Centered Breath monks can take the new Focused Expertise feat, correct?

    17-20 critical hits?

Another example: Focused Sound, Arcane Power p.8. Level 1 Bard Encounter attack power. On a hit, part of the effect is "...Until the end of your next turn, any attack against the target can score a critical hit on a roll of 18–20." :D

What percent of your 4e parties have an Expertise feat?

In the low heroic tier game I DM... 0/6. ;) Me? I always take it ASAP... of course, I'm also the crazy sort of guy who does stuff like point-buy 18s with a +2 in a stat just to have fun with one ridiculously high stat at 20 :)

    Retraining ;)

How does the wizard compare now?

Reading Storm Pillar makes it sound underwhelming. First off, it has zero effect on enemies already in the area when you cast the spell. Second, they have to consciously move through it to take damage, and even if they do, it's only a d6+int. However, it's basically a variation of Cloud of...

    New DM advice ?

KotS is a solid 4e adventure. Make sure to run the updated one from D&D Test Drive. You can also send a link to the quick start rules there for your players if they want to read through it before playing, depending on their level of curiosity... could also lead to things running more smoothly...

    Armor Specialization (Plate)

Woo, the thread saw some use :D Anyway, it's also worth noting that anything that decreases their hit rolls against you will also be more effective in increasing your survivability (AKA expected length of time you'll live)! So, cover means even more with that extra +1 armor, marks by others are...

Free Keep on the Shadowfell at Wizards.com

Sweet! An update to the one published 4e adventure I've bought! ;) It fixes a lot of the problems with it, I think. Also, it's GREAT to be able to just send my friends a link to the quick start rules :)

    Removing Class Roles

A key thing to note about 4e's roles is that they're not as strictly defined as in, say, EQ or WoW. A fighter can defend, but can also dish out good damage. Paladins are good at defending but can also heal and support allies. Warlocks are strikers, but they inflict loads of status effects...

    Stalker0's Guide to Anti-Grind

As far as submitting this to Dungeon/Dragon, as some have suggested... However, if anyone IS interested in submitting material to Dungeon/Dragon, it's pretty easy. Just read this page.

Are you a Player or GM?

Now that would be awesome :D Although I love DMing, and do it the vast majority of the time for my friends, I wouldn't mind more playing time. Also, I think it's important for people to try DMing at least once or twice to be able to understand how things are from behind the screen.

    Stalker0's Guide to Anti-Grind

I don't think it was a literal "far, far away" in the distance and game sense. I believe it was in the "don't use them" sense.
