I have gone with the humans only for PC's world. I love it!

Gotta second the whole money thing. The only people it doesn't buy happiness for are those who will never be happy in the first place.

Other than Quicken the changes to Meta magics have made the feats overall not very usefull. I used the heck out tof them in 3.0 but with the new edition's version of the spells and changes to the feats... they went from something I used regualrly and were thus enjoyable to more things I might...

3.0 Sorcerer... weak silly and lame 3.5 Wizard... why bother your feats, spells, and items are nerfed while every other class made grounds forward in power. 3.5 Wizard/duh Gimpage

Shock factor of rolling 53 dice... its rather intimidating even if statisticly its a bit light. Weird is high DC but the two saves is problematic.

So now that its does big damage it can be Empowered or Maximised right? 20d6+ 1d6/per level * 1.5 or 52.5d6 for an 8th level slot or 7d6 on a successful save. Think its worth it?

Were I running I would run a hybrid or 3e and 3.5e... house rules all the way.

The reason the rules drive some of us nuts is simple... not all groups handle things like yours. In our group the players are lucky if we get any say at all. We like the story but the DM is hell bent on changing to 3.5 even if it invalidates 80% of the encounters and event that have already...

Only one in six didn't in our group... and he likely will soon.

I think it should be a mutual agreement of all parties involved (DM and Players).

Since Psi is far from overpowered as is... leave it be.

Have you been playing the same game as the rest of us? I really have no idea where you are getting this impression... are you still playing 2e? That was the last time I was aware you could do well with out magical items past level 3.

I do hope they added something useful to the class because the Spell List changes are pretty weak compared to what they had... oh but I forget! 3.5 hates spells and magic! 3.5 Bard! Now with less use...
